Re: Library Shelfie WED @ the MSC

I spent a lot of time in our town library when younger. The building is Greek revival and built with oil money. Is it a Carnegie Library? The one in my neighborhood was referred to as "the old library" because they built a new library in 1962. Now, "the new library" is called "the old library" beca...

Re: Gift Card SATURDAY @ the MSC

In my younger (and fitter) days I was a demo player for Wilson Racquetball and every year they would send me a Wilson Pro Staff gear bag filled with all the latest racquets and stuff and I accumulated quite a number of the bags. After many years of travelling around with multiple Wilson duffle bags,...

Keep it up John! Retired Seahawk (and Pro-Football HOF) Walter Jones stayed in shape in the offseason by pushing a 6,800 pound Escalade around.

It snowed over night and it's just perfect... about 2" on the grass and rooftops, but not a speck on the streets and sidewalks!

Mrs SPH got her hair cut yesterday.... after wearing it longish for years, she came home yesterday with what I would call a "Dame Judy Dench" cut. It looks really good and will be a lot easier for her to manage.

It rains too much in Seattle? Hah! They just released 2019 climate statistics that show that the U.S. in total received an average of 34.78 inches of rain, the second wettest on record and 4.5 inches above normal. Seattle had 33.88 inches, 3.61 inches below the average of 37.49 inches. We had 141 da...

That's crazy but craziest of all is Oregon. They are green and yellow but played their bowl game in black??? They seem to have van unlimited combinations of ugly uniforms. 😏😏😏 Billionaire Phil Knight, the founder of Nike, is an Oregon alum (and Nike's headquarters, like Oregon, are in Eugene). He a...

Happy Y2.2K! It was too windy for them to set off the Space Needle fireworks at midnight last night so they said maybe they'd do it at 2:00 am but it was still too windy so then they said maybe 7:00 pm tonight (or maybe not....) Not exactly precision planning when they wire that thing up with tons o...

As they do every year, they've strapped gawd only knows how many tons of explosives to the Space Needle for the NYE fireworks show. It's very windy today and they say if the wind doesn't die down, they won't be able to shoot them off. How about a "Happy Second Day of the Year" celebration? Th...
