Pick up a second hand set of clubs at a Play It Again Sport shop or a garage sale. Or ask anyone you know that plays, they likely have a golf club purgatory in their garage or basement. Most golfers believe that if they could only find the 'perfect' clubs they will suddenly become great golfers. Sad...

Nah, it's snowing outside...I need a boat drink. I was thinking more along the lines of one (or two) of AF's famous Margaritas.

Hiya. AF! [smilie=hiya.gif] Long time no see!! You remember I'm a Tech Writer? I looked at all of them multiple times. #1 has a very nice graphic. However, it seems to distract the eye too much away from the company name. Maybe better if the graphic was a bit smaller and the font changed. I'm not su...

Once upon a time, it was the beaches of St. John...but St. John isn't what I remember anymore. Then, it was with my dolphin friends near the island that time forgot (Bimini). Unfortunately, time has found Bimini and there are big resorts and casinos going up. :( I'm searching for a new harbour on St...

I have been to Bimini several times and flown on the Mallard to get there. I have to say that the people of Bimini are the the warmest and most friendly I have ever met anywhere. It is such a special place and close-knit community. No one on the island would be left untouched by the tragedy. My hear...

I have a friend that is a Cubs season ticket holder (even though she now lives in Florida). She has been calling them daily for news on the Buffett concerts...as of 5PM today....no official confirmations. I figure that eventually they will tell her something just so she quits calling. Can't he...

I am so sorry the Indy folks didn't get to see it. :( I didn't really know what to expect from this kind of show. I was very pleasantly surprised. The crowd was a little subdued, however, everyone was glued to their seats till the credits were rolling. It was the kind of show that those us who have ...

I just got back an hour ago from picking up a couple tickets for the Wed. show. I think the venue had originally planned to show it in 3 of the 10 theaters there. At this point, based on sales, they are only showing it in one theater. I know of at least 20 from our club that are going. There could b...

The seats and lawn were only slightly more than 1/3rd full. He invited people on the lawn to come down into the pavilion to fill some seats.

Now the shows (when he comes here) sell out in 7 minutes.

Most of the very beautiful beaches on St. John are within the national park (as is 2/3rds of the island) and you won't find bars at them. Instead it is a good idea to pack a cooler or mix up a jug of rum punch to take along with you. If your dream is to lay on a lounge chair on the beach while the c...

A nice little side trip on the way up or down the keys is a visit to Pigeon Key. Pigeon Key sits basically underneath the old closed section of 7-mile bridge.
