Ocean Breeze is currently full.

As of last week: The Casa Key West (next door to Washington St. Inn) had one room left ($119 poolside with two beds). Avalon B&B (at the end of Duval near Southernmost) had at least two rooms ($99/queen, $129 2-queen beds). I don't think either were offering specific Parrothead discounts, howeve...

Last week I did some calling around for a place to stay for MOTM (my favorite place was already full). I found that instead of discounting for the Parrotheads, some places are starting to treat MOTM as they do Fantasy Fest and are jacking up the prices for that weekend. They got a 'Thanks, but no th...

Have a great time!! And drink one (or many) for me at Cpt Tony's! PS: Tony was hanging out there the last time I was in town, so keep an eye out for him! VERY happy to hear Capt. Tony is still making it out to his bar. We had heard a few months ago from one of his sons (Keith Famie) that he wasn't ...

carolinagirl......that must have been his second broken leg because he had a big ol' cast on his leg at my first concert in 1978. Awhile ago I started a similar thread on my Parrothead club message board, so I will just copy and paste my story from there. *************** Once upon a time a long time...

It was great meeting you (& Mr. Nutmeg) too!! :D I guess I had a little too much fun. I was too pooped to face the drive home in the traffic and rain, so I hooked up with some phriends in an RV and stayed an extra night. :P When I last saw Old Hippy, she was already heavily into planning to make...

The song (Sanibel) was recorded by Crosby Stills Nash & Young on their reunion CD 'Looking Forward.' That is where I originally heard and fell in love with the song.

Okay - and don't tell Kari, she's already got her shocks weighed down too much! But You need Eyeglass holders!!!! White's sells them for a buck or two! (especially you wear prescription sunglasses like me, you don't want to lose them to the River) And I suspect the water level will be up this year ...

To those monitoring this post and are going to Parrot Phlock 2003 - I forgot something on your list of things you might want to bring Zip Loc bags - they are great on the river for things you don't want to get wet - like cigarettes and lighters. (I take 2 lighters by the way) Geez, Karen, I'm start...

Wow! Great story...thanks for sharing it! :) I hope you are able to find them. I'm sure it would make their day to know how much it meant to you. I also heard about several great 'ticket stories' happening at Pine Knob that support my continuing faith in Parrotheads and what they are really all about.

Yep. We have a bunch of times. I bet Penny could find a few threads. We have also come up with countless pet names and boat names, named our favorite song and least favorite songs, our favorite and least favorite venues, and arguing endlessly over Ticketbastard and ticket scalpers. So what???? Ther...

Jimmy is collecting quite a string of Margaritaville Cafes in all of his favorite places. If/when he stops touring, I can see him dropping in to do a surprise show now and then at any one he feels like. Performing is like a drug for Jimmy, I don't think he can go for more than a few months without c...
