That was taken a short rive from my house. It's part of the Pearl River Waterfowl Refuge. The structure I was in is a duckblind; just no camo hiding the windows! Didn't see any ducks, but lots of other birds. Unfortunately they were too far away to get pics of.

Yeah, I use it mainly to maintain an accurate exposure and to achieve some contrast. Been shooting in the RAW format exclusively and it makes a huge difference vs. shooting jpeg.

Photoshop can give you some dramatic pictures. Problem is there is such a steep learning curve! I've been using it for about five months and am just now learning things beyond the basics.
