I swear to God if Jimmy Buffett sings "Beauty School Dropout" I'll hang myself.

I think this is probably accurate. While music is one of the last things that has to be finalized in the film making process (the deadlines can run right down to the wire--this was recently the case with one of the John Williams/Steven Spielburg efforts, and was the case with "Team America"...

Conched reminded me of another thought: With "Hoot" on the horizon, it is possible that he would include the original tunes from the soundtrack onto the new album, that only some of the original soundtrack tunes will be on the soundtrack and the rest will be available on the new album, or ...

What about the new album?

I am just curious if anyone has any ideas on what direction Bubba will go with the upcoming album. Do you think he'll continue the country-esque/duet-heavy/cover-heavy style he had with LTC or will he go back more toward his signature island sound? I kind of expect a combination of both. He's still ...

I'm sure lots of you will disagree with this (and fairly so), but the Cincy show this year was a very special one to me for a lot of reasons. I've been a phan since I was 9 years old (I'm 19 now) and this year's Cincy concert was the first I've ever been lucky enough to attend. It was a lifelong dre...

Okay, I need to clarify--I wrote that after a 30 minute discussion with a classmate in which I was told "Jimmy Buffett is the reason America has gone to hell, and it's people like him that will rot in hell for their lifestyle, just like (and I quote) the gays" and other kinds of ridiculous...

You'd be damn hard-pressed to beat Jimmy and Martina on the basis of musical quality and performance--"Trip Around the Sun" is one helluva song, and when it catches me just right, gives me goosebumps and a slight twinkle in my eye....

I know this topic is about the album Rancho Deluxe , but I'm curious about the movie itself--is it any good? I've heard mixed reviews about it and I'm trying to locate it for rental. I know Jimmy is the singer in the band during one scene (which is my main motivation for seeing it), but I've seen en...

Lest we stop being superficial for a moment! Just kidding--anyway, Elizabethtown was filmed in Elizabethtown, KY which is just a little over an hour away from where I live. According to some friends I have down that way, Dunst and Bloom were causing hell the whole time they were there--being prima d...

No respect for JB! :O

I've noticed that the pharther and pharther I go into my lifelong phandom, that my friends and family (except my dad) are less and less receptive/understanding of my fixation on Jimmy Buffett. They listen to AC/DC, Marilyn Manson, Lil' Jon, Pearl Jam, Usher, Green Day, and all the other commerical B...

I agree...I think the title of the article (given the substance and tenor of it) was a clever reference. Also one that most non-phans won't recognize!

Jimmy Buffett and the NFL

Jimmy is quoted in the title of this article, and a reference is made to him in the closing line. Nothing earth-shattering, just cool to see him getting some recognition in circles that don't normally recognize him (i.e., the NFL). Enjoy! http://www.panthers.com/news/newsroomNewsDetail.jsp?id=20858
