I don't mind the snow all that much and I can take the cold as long as it's not windy. But I grew up by the Atlantic and boy did I miss the ocean whenever I was anywhere in the middle of the country. I don't think I could live where the salt water wasn't nearby.

Snow is fun for about 5 minutes when everything looks so serene and peaceful out. Then you realize you have to shovel, it's too damn cold outside and the exhaust from the cars makes the snow all dirty and it doesn't look appeasing in the least bit.
