Manatees have very SLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOW rates of reproduction. In my opinion, a population of 3,000 is not very secure and should not be delisted. Every manatee I have ever seen has had prop scars. Power boats are their #1 threat. I think the delisting from endangered to threatened has resulted more fr...

Wow. Thanks, Skibo. Tobago is NOT where we will be going. That sent chills down my spine.

MacPhin, Bequia looks stunning. It is a strong contender if I can figure out how to get to St. Vincent from Detroit.

Thanks, everyone.

Honeymoon in Tobago?

I am looking for a quiet slice of the Caribbean to spend our 7-10 day honeymoon. I don't like all inclusives and we like quiet, sleepy places that are naturally beautiful. We LOVED Anguilla and I love southern Belize for the mix of beautiful snorkeling and lots of nature oriented activities, but we'...

Wait. I'm sorry.

The United States has spent the past four years reconstructing Iraq and their oil contracts are going to the Chinese, Indonesians, etc.

Well. Hmmm.

Now I am the one that wants to say something that would get this thread shut down.

:-? Well, I'm not too proud to admit that I did not know that the words are "muenster'd be nice"... Most websites with the CIP lyrics list those words as "mustard'd be nice". But margaritaville.com has the "muenster" lyric. From the Margaritaville site: SONGS YOU KNOW B...

Good morning, everyone. I posted this thread not to start arguments but to see what people's responses were. I'm 37 and only really have been politically aware somewhere during Reagan's 2nd term. I posted the same question on a Michigan Hunting and Fishing website to see what the results were with a...

Wonderful article. Perfectly captured the feeling of the entire remarkable event.

Anguilla is a very special place and we certainly also will return, for the picturesque beaches and the warm, sweet hospitality we received from everyone from Anguilla who we met.

Buy them Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays so they'll at least know a couple of songs more than Cheeseburger in Paradise and Margaritaville.

Dawgfan, I think you're right about the scalpers. I think the $150 pavillion seats are a great idea. Last year for a number of shows, ticket brokers took a bath when they learned that not many people will pay twice the mark up on a $150 ticket. I remember the Phoenix shows and all teh California sho...

The thing is with the 2 sold out Boston shows (120,000 tickets sold, I think) and the nearly sold our Houston and Frisco, Texas shows (I think around 70,000 tickets), it seems like Jimmy is realizing that he can sell out stadiums and not just in Boston & Chicago. It may just be a matter of time ...

Wow. If I had known that Mac has ascended to the ranks of a rock star for whom the scalpers profit wildly in reselling tickets to his shows, I would have asked for his autograph when he was standing next to us in the Anguilla airport for 10 minutes.

Scalpers = parasites.

MacPhin, I was bummed as well that we didn't get to meet you. The Buffett News lanyards that Frozen Bird, Parrotprof and BOMBMW had were really cool and made it so easy to pick out people from this website. Erin and I need to get Buffettnews lanyards made up if we make it to any more shows this year...

bixxx, It will be interesting to see if charming Anguilla is able to keep its sleepy charm with so much development in the works. The St. Regis Resort looks like it is going to be the largest yet on Anguilla. I hope that Bankie can hold out while being surrounded by ultra luxe developments. I think ...

Caly, I doubt we'll make it to any other shows this summer. We got shut out for Pittsburgh, Alpine and Cincy - our top choices for the summer. Maybe I'll get lucky on one of my random checks of ticketmaster as the shows draw closer. That's how we made it to Cincy & Indy last summer. Somehow, tic...
