You can still read the letter framed right by the door of the Margaritaville Store in Key West. Rest assured, you're not missing a thing by coming in later in the Buffett experience. D@mn, wish I'd known to look for that letter. I was down in KW two summers ago and probably walked past that letter ...

He was told , by letter, he was not welcome back there, after playing WDWGDAS.... That is a great story. For someone who just started seeing Buffett concerts for the past 7 summers (haven't missed one ...

I like the tropical stuff since that's what got me and most into his music but truthfully a lot Jimmy's songs that do not mention those things can still have that feel to them, especially when they've been "Buffettized" with the pans and congas etc. Same here. The tropical themes and esca...

"Island" is an awesome Buffett slow song, but I really do like GrowingOlderInRI's idea of "The Weather is Here"!! Might as well start out things on the right foot!

Me either mainly because I do believe it has some strong elements of country music on it, especially "Sea of Heartache". Yeah, I feel I may still have some trouble getting past the "country" feel of LTC. Okay, I admit it, I'll probably never get past it!! Oh well, there's plenty...

as far as LTC being country sounding, if you think about it, about the only thing country sounding about it was the country artists themselves. Imagine if Jimmy sang every line on LTC. Would you call it country then? I never thought of it that way sonofabeach. I am about as far from a country music...

Re: Tin Cup Chalice reference by David Lee Roth

I would love to hear that version.......David Lee Roth......sad but true. My first post! Seems like a good place to start since my first love of music started with Van Halen! How I went from VH to Buffett, not sure, but I sure am glad I ended up here!! Hearing DLR singing Tin Cup would rule. One of...
