Re: Best place in KW to watch NCAA championship game?

x2 on Lazy Gecko. Awesome place with great sandwiches and very good mudslides.

Had very bad service and food at Jack Flat's. Will never go back.

And the Lazy Gecko has much more of that "Keys" feel than Jack Flat's.

Have fun. [smilie=coolup.gif]

Re: Margaritaville Online Survey

Could someone please copy and paste the survey here so others could see it, if that is possible, or perhaps a link to the survey? I normally get email "updates" from Margaritaville, but I haven't received this one yet. I am especially curious to see the part about the "Margaritaville ...

Re: CMT Crossroads

SunLover, Thanks for posting the downloads. Is there anyway you could post the audio download of "Toes" without the talking intro and seperating "Toes" from "SOASOAS"? If possible, could you do the same with "Free". Love that song. If not, no worries. Thanks a...

Good luck Quint. I loved reading your post. You lived the life, if just for awhile, that many of us dream of. I wish you well on your new adventure. Key West will always be there...

Re: Places to stay at the Outer Banks

I stayed in Corolla this past Thanksgiving. It's one of the northern beaches of the OBX. It appears to be one of the quieter beaches; no chain motels, just homes for rent. Nice bike path to ride on, many little beach type shops and you are only about 12 miles from the "end of the road" whe...

The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is located in St. Michaels. There are bed & breakfasts there also.

Don't forget to feast on the steamed crabs!

Corolla OBX beach off-road question

I am heading to the OBX for Thanksgiving. Never been there before. I want to drive my Jeep Wrangler on the north beach of Corolla. I have done research on all of the off-road regulations. My question is where is the closest gas station or business that provides air so I can inflate my tires since I ...

Re: Tales from margaritaville

Please be careful if you are going to read this book! We think it can be very dangerous. About fourteen years ago we picked up a used copy of "Tales" in a bookstore near our home in San Francisco. After reading the book we went out and got the BBBB Boxed Set. We had never really bee...

Re: From A Salty Piece of Land

Thanks for the post and picture. I am reading "Salty Piece of Land" for a second time. My brother is currently stationed in Iraq and is reading it for the first time. I got the book for him as a Christmas gift. It helps take his mind away from all he is facing over there.

Thanks again.

Now if you go to http://www.keysnet.com/212/story/72229.html there is a short article and short video of Buffett's performance. The video shows short clips of about 4 or 5 songs he sang that night. Pretty cool. Not the new song though.

If you go to http://keysnews.com/ and mouse over the image of Buffett, it states he did a two and a half hour concert Thursday evening and played a new song titled "We've Got A Lot To Drink About".

Re: Hemisphere Dancer

I believe it isn't 'flyable' any longer?? It would take alot of work to get it back into flying condition. I did some quick searching and everything I read about the HD says it has been "retired" at the Lone Palm. But it sticks in my mind that when Jimmy first put the plane at City Walk, ...
