Is jazzfest just open-air lawn seating? Is is first-come-first-serve? What's the atmosphere like compared to the stadium or outdoor pavillion concerts? Is it as good of a tailgait as other Buffett concerts?

It's so cool how one Parrothead's life experiences seem to mirror those of so many others. Thanks for sharing that. We need more stuff like that.

I'd call it PHLOCKERS and I'd have a stage and a bar where you could make your OWN mixed drinks, with drink dispensing machines that would dish out an even ounce of liquor along with a myriad of mixes and ice. I'd have a cool Jamaican DJ and the waitresses would all wear cocounut brassiers and grass...

I've heard that rendition before... and I just don't like it at all. I'm a big Jack Johnson fan, and I like it that he's giving props to Bubba... but still. It's a bit kindergarten-ish, choppy, and just not easy to listen to, IMO.

Fantastic thread! Being a Parrothead is like... Tasting ice cream for the first time... Having so many friends you never get lonely Everyone sharing the same ideas of fun, goodness and beauty It's the validation and realization that people out there love the same things you love. I didn't know that either were adopted. However... Sarah Delaney REALLY looks like her daddy. Watch Hoot and you'll notice the resemblance. She's sitting at the lunch table, in the middle of a group of girls.

I think Jimmy's brain is always in 'fast forward' mode. He simply HAS to be involved and working and going and doing and creating and entertaining.

I'm just guessing, but I'd bet that while he could do lots of things, the easiest fall-back is probably his music and his fans.

Sarah Delaney has a bit part in the movie "Hoot". She's one of the friends of the antagonist girl. Her only line is something like, "Well, he is kinda cute, dont'cha think?" or something like that.

The Ph Phenomenon

Dear phriends.... :D

So where did the "Ph" phenomenon start, anyway? I'm sure this has been hashed out before, but please be kind and retell the tale if you know it.

When did Parrotheads start using "ph" instead of "f"?

Phlocking, phriends, phins, phun...... etc

We've never had or made jello shots, but we're hosting a party on Friday and I want to make some jello shots. I've noticed there are lots of recipes. Do you like it just with vodka... rasberry vodka... malibu rum... what? What kind of jello would you use? I have no idea. What's the tastiest way in y...
