Re: Cincinnati Concert
Enjoy, Flowerfield: The weather ain't here and wish we were heading there. Gotta respect Ohio for the support it has shown Jimmy and the props he has given back during the shows. The skies are too clear lifes so easy today The beer is too cold, the daiquiris too fruitiful No place like home when you...

Re: Which MJ song should Jimmy cover this tour?
Been there, done that song already, Jimmy? Thinking way back, kids, to the '84 tour. Jimmy played Canada's Wonderland in Toronto during the Canada Day weekend. At one point, I recall a cutout of Michael Jackson onstage and one of his hits of the day playing. Jimmy promptly ends the skit and the conc...

Re: Margaritaville Canada
Hey, Jimmy Buffett: Welcome to Canada! Thinking of all the marketing opportunities now open to you here in the Great White North -- land of your forefathers: - Anti-freeze. And not the drinkable variety, tailgaters. Sorry. - Margaritaville ice scrapers, not ice buckets. For those of us stuck in our ...

Margaritaville Canada
"Look for a Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville Cafe to open in west-end Edmonton next year, full of boats and planes and the Key West atmosphere so celebrated in Jimmy's tunes. It's a happening chain stateside." - Edmonton Sun, June 7/09 http://www.edmontonsun.com/news/columnists/2009/06/07/9...

Sonny Landreth in Toronto Sunday, June 7: free show
Part of Toronto's arts and creativity fest, Parrotheads. In Yonge-Dundas Square, across from the Eaton Centre in the heart of downtown (10,000 folks let it ride in the square with Randy Bachman Friday night) The scoop on Sonny on Sunday, who is also performing in Ontario cottage country tonight: &qu...

Re: What was your first-ever JB record purchase?
CILCIA
A life-changing evening in the summer of '77 in Thunder Bay, Ont. - a harbour town, of course, Jimmy.
Local radio station CKPR played most of it on a new-album show.
Bought the 33 the next day when Sam The Record Man opened.
The addiction remains, 32 years later.

Just yanking your chains, south of the border.
In the spirit of Cosmo Kramer, I "only watch Canadian football."
Belated congratulations, Steeler fans. Great game, both teams.

Fan since 1977. Driving around Thunder Bay, Ont., (a harbour town, of course, Jimmy) listening to CILCIA on an album show on the AM station. Remember the moment like it was this afternoon. Buddy and I were hooked. Magic. Knew of Come Monday but little else previously. Shows? The five times Jimmy has...

Just moving this up as a reminder. Show starts in fewer than 85 minutes. Thanks to Demerara for the recording tips. Great information. And thank you to the boys and girls at Radiomargaritaville for replaying this show so quickly, and reminding us of the replay dates. A magical night by the shores of...

Toronto re-broadcast: Sept. 22
Don't see this date anywhere else. Miles at RM just e-mailed this today. "...we're glad you enjoyed. The Toronto show will be aired on 9/22 because of technical problems during the b'cast. -Fins up, Miles" Enjoy, again, all 19,000 who shared the night - with those who couldn't join us. Hap...

Gotta agree with Michelle and 66: I don't mind a couple of covers, but for an artist with Jimmy's massive catalogue .... I go to see Jimmy and hear his tunes. And, no, not just the jukebox. Gotta give Bubba credit for: - three-hour shows, when many of his generation are doing the 90-minute casino re...

PHriends. I take it you're staying at the Days Inn on Carlton near what was Maple Leaf Gardens? Not trying to play travel agent, but Yonge Street (just west of your hotel) can take you to fine shopping and dining areas at Bloor to the north and Dundas to the south.
