Here's my take on it, anyway: I love Jimmy's music, but I go to MOTM to hear other performers' music. It's fun when Jimmy shows up, but it takes away from whatever other performer was scheduled in that time slot.... birthday trip? Then by god, let the slot he takes away from be Kenny Chesney's........

I've seen him in both, and although MSG in 2001 was probably one of my favorite concert memories....I still have to vote outdoors....just something about Jimmy singing and seeing the moon and stars above your head

i hear a life preserver from the set.... Yep. He tossed it to a guy sitting behind the stage. :D Then he said something to the effect of (paraphrasing from post-concert memory), "Sometimes it pays to buy those cheap f***ing seats!" now that sounds like the Jimmy we know n love :wink:

A wise PH once told me a story, and when he first told me it I didn't get it....(PH911).....We were talking about that OPH.....and I said to him that i'd love to find it someday....He told me to stop looking for a place, that it didn't have to be a place at all...that it was where your heart felt sa...

Four years ago the Jones Beach concert was on their 25th anniversary. That was the year they had the hokey pokey contest before each show and it was judged by Heather and Jules.
