I have never made mine with canned pineapple, but I don't see why it won't. Also if you used canned and you leave in some of the light syrup you will have more to shoot at the end. If I get a chance I will try and make some this weekend with canned and I will let you know.

When I make mine I use fresh pineapple that I cut into chunks. We have soaked it any where from a couple of hours before hand to over night. When you are done eating the pineapple it is great to pour the used rum into shot glasses and shoot it.

If anyone is interested.....I have been calling the Holiday Inn on the Lane all week to see if they had rooms for Saturday. They finally had a few cancellations today. I was able to book a room and they said the still had a few left. Good Luck.
