My brother and I will be there. I am counting the days until I become an over-40 victim of fate...and the number is way too small...so I really NEED a gret time! HELP!

Re: Introduce yourself to the rest of the phlok.

Hi, I'm Paul. I joined this site back in 2006 but haven't been around for a long time. Here's what I said back then: Hi all, In 1990, I was 18 years old and working in a toy store in New Jersey. One day, "Margaritaville" came on the muzak in the mall. Somehow, I found myself actually liste...

Sesame Street gets an MA rating? This is the most ludicrious thing I've heard in a long time. What kind of message does this send? Oscar the Grouch will warp kids' minds, but a dimwitted sponge in jockey shorts is a role model? Just one more thing that makes me grateful I'm not trying to raise a chi...

Fort Liquordale.... Snort Loud-inhale

maybe Summers or The Elbow Room could be a good start? 8) :P :pirate:
Unfortunately, Summers is LONG gone on the kinder, gentler Ft. Lauderdale Strip

Attending college in Lynchburg, VA back in the early 90s (not at Liberty, thank God) Jerry was very much a presence in day-to-day life. It was always funny to see his students out flying the holier-than-thou flag and spewing fire and brimstone during the day, and sneaking into our keg parties at nig...

Anyone know how far the airport on PR is from Old San Juan?? Around 30 minutes, give or take, if I remember right, assuming you're not talking about rush hour. Traffic in and around San Juan can be pretty ugly. I was there every few months on business for a while, but it's been four or five years, ...

Everybody needs a convertible, at least once in their life.

Somebody asked me once, "How can you drive a convertible living in Florida?"

I can't imagine NOT having a convertible.

Congrats on your new toy!

If you have time for lunch in San Juan, try the Parrot Club:

I mean, it IS the PARROT Club.

Now, does the type of alcohol matter? For example, will my lime be better off if I stick it in a Corona, or if I mix it with tequila and triple sec? Although the extra ingredients in both may have a negative effect. Perhaps I should just squeeze it into a nice aged rum. More studies must be done! I ...

On the plus side, Buffettaholic "meetings" have got to be WAY more fun than other -aholics meetings!

Alex Rutledge is definitely one of my favorite characters, and Corcoran's books always make me feel like I'm in Key West, the settings are so vivid.

I do wish he'd write a little faster, however

This has been really helpful; We're going on our first cruise ( just a short 5 day trip) in two weeks, so this thread comes at a great time for me!

One question: Is the "formal" dinner mandatory, or can we skip out? Getting dressed up on vacation is not my idea of a great time!
