I have a cat that will sit and literally drowl for corn husks.... Being from NJ, we have the best corn in the world and when summer rolls around and I start a husking, he sits and waits for me to drop one corn husk on the floor and he's off with it.

If you can hang plants, I have hung cherry tomatoes and they look really cool. There are also places on web to get tomato plant containers that grow without dirt and upside down. Great for apartments.
