Re: tickets

When tickets are priced so high as to exclude people that could previously afford to attend his concerts, then they're too high for everybody . If the prices are too high for everybody, who's buying all the tickets? The people that can afford it. By raising prices to the level that he has he's exlu...

Re: tickets

When his shows are selling out in less than 15 minutes, it's hard for me to believe the prices are too high. They're too high, believe me or else you wouldn't see people in this thread saying they're passing on his shows. The prices are too high for you and they're too high for the people who are d...

Think the Bakersfield sound of Buck Owens and you'll be pretty close.

Re: tickets

All tickets are too expensive, whether it be Buffett orost anyone else. Not true, especially when Buffett tix are $126 and some others are much, much less than that. For Buffett's Orlando concert next month, tickets start at $26. The Tallahassee show, which I understand is a benefit for the United ...

I can confirm that Jimmy will not be playing the Post-Gazette Pavilion on July 6 this year. Why? Because the Volunteer Jam is there: the Charlie Daniels Band, the Outlaws and the Marshall Tucker Band - all on the same day! And the best part? A pair of pavilion seats costs $25, thanks to the Buy 1 G...

I've thought that Jimmy should be considered for at least one reason: He has got to be the highest selling concert artist in history who only gets one song played on the radio. That alone should get a vote. Inductions aren't based on concert grosses. In regards to airplay, I hear lots of songs of h...

It's also on Songs You Know By Heart. Isn't that the album everyone's supposed to hate, especially if they're a "true Parrothead"?

I'm more inclined to spend my money on an artist that is doing something to keep ticket prices down. Buffett isn't one of them.

The making fun of drummers thing goes back to when U2 accepted some MTV award from presenter Phil Collins and they made fun of what happens when drummers start to write songs and sing. I think the making fun of drummers thing goes back much further than that (it was parodied in Spinal Tap for a rea...

anyone complaining about the price of a JB ticket, hasn't bought a Rolling Stone's ticket.... I bought a couple, they were $80 a piece. Buffett's are up to something like $126 now aren't they? you're comparing JB's high end to the Stone's low end, and with your level of music knowledge, I have no d...

Most of you will think I'm negative about this, but I'm looking at it as a realist: I don't think it will be a good touring year. Ya, he'll make his $$$ and sell out every single show...but he's closer to retirement than ever. He said it on the RM interview he's doing fewer shows, and that to me me...

Does Neil being a drummer make his opinion any less valid? He's also a lyricist and quite a gifted one at that. It's not everyone who's words were inspired by the likes of Ayn Rand.
