I never liked fur, and personaly would'nt wear it. Then again, I never wear jewelry (except beads at phlockings/tailgates) My wife inherited two fur coats, and initially I was kind of embarrassed for her to be seen wearing them. A close friend of mine is a third generation furrier, so I have heard a...

I admit I was a real fool to ignore that lost filling for the past two years. It's very likely that the tooth was decaying under the filling, and that's WHY it fell out. You probably are no worse off now than the day it fell out. It just took a while for the bacteria to get to the point that the ab...

90% of root canals are no more uncomfortable than a simple filling, that's why you never hear about them. It's that other 10% that gives the treatment the bad rap. It's never as bad as the original ache! The typical patient walks in with pain, and leaves feeling much better. In general, if you have ...

The pain can go away, which is fantastic, but you still are'nt cured. Be sure to follow up with your dentist, as it will return eventually. It will need either a root canal or extraction , judging from your description of the pain. Either is better than a return to yesterday, right? Besides. maybe y...

Then it's the other half of the Vicodin. If the Vico-halfs are for the TMJ, and the Pizza is a deep dish, do yo...

Re: 45th East Coast Surfing Championships
Two years from now I have every intention of competing in the "Legends" amateur longboard competition myself as a "young" Legends rookie. Until then, I believe I'll have a Landshark or two (is that Jimmy over there?). ...... Surfpirate There's some pretty good legends out there ...

Not defending either of those fruitcakes, or anyone else who feels a made-up religion (that has become cult-like) by a failed sci-fi writer is the basis for a life, but... I don't know that Jimmy in his 40s was the guy we hear about now. I'd bet a bit of image is just that, and I am willing to bet ...

Jimmy does it all. He's my hero. I've never been impressed with the lives led by most celebrities. Sure, John Travolta is a very accomplished pilot, and Tom Cruise flys a fully aerobatic plane, but they both have that Scientology thing going, along with other strange stories. Most stars are pretty s...

Speaking of beach bums, my son says he has acheived his high-school ambition of being a beach bum and a ski bum when he grows up. He works as a scuba instructor, assistant dive shop manager, underwater videographer, etc., in tropical locations, except when he's a snowboard or alpine or cross-countr...

I am fond of both beer and aviation, come to think of it. Aren't you going to fly up (over) to Toronto on Sept. 5? You could land at the Island Airport, I think; it's still general aviation, as far as I know. Post 9-11 stuff makes it just not worth it. Way cheaper and faster to just drive there. To...
