Longboardin' You mentioned the economy taking its toll on concert season . . . It just sidelined me for Vegas. Airfare doubled and tripled in some cases. Vegas is always an expensive flight but I was looking at flying in and out of PHX - Last year there were $88 tix - this year $160 there and $190-...

SC, what kind of music did they play? At Jellyrolls, you write your request on a napkin and take it up to the pianos (with a couple of bucks to ensure playing!) and wait for your tune. It makes for a very fun night. How do they do things at the Keys? They played a lot of everything...For the most p...

There was a song someone put on a mixed tape (I'm dating myself here) for me a long time ago that was about Key West. . Talk about dating oneself! I bought a 45 rpm single from a Mallory Square singer/songwriter back in '74 titled "Life is a Breeze in the Florida Keys". It was kinda catchy, with li...

Oh, yum! Can't though... Passover isn't over until tomorrow night! :-? Seven days in Israel, eight days everywhere else. If it's always five o'clock somewhere, and Margaritaville is anywhere you want it to be, then being in the Land of Milk and Honey can be a state of mind as well! I feel so connec...

The one thing that bugs me about religion is "fair weather" religious people - eg they dont have it as part of their daily life - but if someone is in need - they put "in my prayers" - do they actually pray every night? Kinda like the people that go to church only at Christmas and Easter - my belie...

Oh, I forgot to report that Laura has now passed her Commercial written test! (Had to redo Meteorology, but aced it the second time 88%) She needs another 15-25 hours PIC, then will do the flight test, which is apparently pretty stressful. Then it's off to Winnipeg for multi-engine, IFR, and a job!...
