Intent and capability of firepower. Personally, if you can't hit your target (and I'm referring to wild game) in TWO shots, then you need practice (or a better scope)... ..NOT the ability to squeeze off 10 more shots Capability??? They're chambered for the same round. The Mini-14 comes with a 5 rou...

I don't feel we, as a society, have any reasonable right to own assault weapons. The defense of owning such weaponry, IMO, is coupled with paranoia and lunacy. What is the difference between this: http://www.bushmaster.com/images/catalog/xm_15_zoom/BCWA2S%2020.jpg and this: http://www.ruger.com/Fir...

T-minus one week and counting to Stage 1. No prologue this year....every stage counts. Time bonuses have also been eliminated, so the guy who gets through the fastest WILL win. Floyd Landis will find out on Monday whether he will be the first TDF winner to be stripped of his yellow jersey, or merely...

We're going to be here all day, caught up in this circular argument. I'll see if I can find the original article I saw that brought up the difference. I suggest you read the decision, if you haven't already. I believe most of the questions you ask were addressed. There's a big difference between int...

sigh...I just don't see much good in people having guns in their homes...they are seldom used for good and often used for evil. (ex wives and girlfriends seem to be favorite targets) :-? Question: is that really the case, or is it because EVERY time one is used wrong you hear about it but the times...

So if I understand you correctly, the intent of the Second Amendment is to make sure the citizenry has access to enough fire power to overthrow the government ("whatever it takes"). Yes. That was a large portion of the original intent. Would you say the Second Amendment allows me to have ...

During the time of the Revolution, the militia was considered to be the able bodied men of the community. They would be expected to maintain personal weaponry: rifles, muskets, knives, swords, etc. Crewed weapons, such as cannons and mortars, would have been maintained and provided by the Government...

But how many have died??? Sitting on death row is still breathing. It takes 20 years to kill someone. The amount of people who are finally found innocent and released is proof that the system may not be as screwed up as people think. And yes, Christians are supposed to leave judgement up to God. Fli...

Serious question: If the Second Amendment means what gun enthusiasts think it means (ie no infringement of my right to keep and bear arms) then why can't I own a Hirtenberger 60mm commando mortar or Paladin M109A6 self-propelled Howitzer, for example? I would appreciate a serious response. I'll hav...

Le Tour will weather the storms. We'll get things cleaned up. The sponsors will see to that. I was REALLY surprised at Millar when I met him. I was really excited, but he was sort of quiet. Didn't seem real into it. I wonder now if it was the doping or the massive hangover he had at some point. The ...

Now I'm into cycling HUGE. Love the Tour, but Paris-Roubaix will always be my favorite race.

Sometimes when you take your kids to an adult place, you run into adults. I'll have to mark my calendar for next year. Yes, but when the adult place (and that's debatable) holds a kids event parents have a reasonable expectation that things like this won't happen. Someone should be slapped for sche...
