Ragtop, Just currious if you're under 30 years old. Maybe you never really experienced baseball without a DH. 32, but the time I started watching the Sox in the late 70's the DH was already in force. If pitchers could hit than I would agree with you, but 9 times out of 10 it appears they just don't...

All players have to practice and improve on their skills in fielding and batting, why shouldn't pitchers have to do the same? :wink: If we were discussing little league baseball I would agree with you :D. I look at pitchers the same as quarterbacks... it's a very specialized position. You don't see...
