Whenever I talk to guys they prefer real. But when you see them drooling over something you just know they're fake.

what college did you go to?

I only went to the cheapy local state school. But I"m doing the college search for my son. He wants to run in a D1 school and has the ability unless it's one of the top programs in the county. He's been contacted by a few coaches and done recruiting visits. So give me your best plug for your al...

Well perhaps it is time to renew an old telephone ad. "Reach out, reach out and touch someone.
But i'd have to know for sure that it was fake. Better yet i'd have to have one of each side by side.

Do you eat the brocolli or your dessert first?

Thinking about this today and wondering what a bunch of parroteheads do. Do you go for the thing you enjoy first or do the responsible thing? For example, when it's only your family home do you put out the good towels, or the slightly worn ones? Do you always put the good sheets on your bed or only ...

I didn't set out to 'write the island record,' I wrote songs about people I met, moments that stood out over the last few years, things I realized. When I went back and looked at my notebook, I saw this collection emerge. Sounds like another singer'songwriter we know. I have no problem with others ...

My wife nailed my 9 year old this morning trying to smuggle her wrestling doll's out the door to bring to school....... Ha ha ha. That's funny. My sons when they were like 6 had these wrestling buddy dolls that were more like pillows. Kind of kid sized too. They used to slam into each other with th...

Gotta make a brag. One of my sons is a high school senior and captain of cross country and track teams. He's had a super good season. Qualified for states, and now Meet of Champions. He's worked so hard, had alot of injured seasons during high school and it's finally all coming together for him. He'...

When I first signed up I was supposed to use the first link on the first post of this thread, not somebody else on the list's name right? Because that's what I did but now that I read the thread a bit more I am guessing I...

I frequently don't understand people's musical criticism. Music is subjective, like art. There are styles I don't like but that doesn't make them unworthy. There is also a time and place for everything. Popular/silly/fun music has it's place. It's frequently the thing we remember decades later. You ...

Thanks for the great advice ragtop. I ran our family hvac business for 15 years, and still handle a small customer base with that. I've also done some small business start up consulting so I'm not a complete virgin. I've been looking for something I can do for myself. And since capital is low I know...

My business idea, any thoughts

I live in a beach town. I'm thinking of starting a business during the off season of getaway long weekends. These would be themed. Examples, ladies getaway with massage, yoga on beach, lots of down time, nice food - Running retreat - with early morning beach runs, guest speakers, pasta dinners, stre...
