Re: Who's Going to Great Woods 2012?
I was surprised it wasn't more crowded but then I remembered the traffic phlocking off the cape as we drove down. It was a great weather day to head to the beach. Though I wasn't going in the water, especially after I saw the horseshoe crab . But horseshoe crabs don't do you no harm or do they? [sm...

Upcoming Outer Banks Vacation
We (five, ranging in age from 11 to 40+) are vacationing in the Outer Banks (Rodanthe) the first week of August. This is our first trip to this part of the east coast and want it to be memorable and enjoyable. While a good bit of time is planned for the beach, are there any "must sees" or ...

Re: How has being a Parrothead changed your life?
one last note, my enjoyment of the music and ancilliaries made it possible to give so many loud, tasteless Hawaiian shirts a good home; well cared-for and appreciated, they live in my closet and make mine a unique fashion-statement Is it wrong to wear my loud, tasteless Hawaiian shirts to places ot...

Re: 2011 tour so far **Updated 6/22/2011**
Nice job of research. I really enjoy comparing set lists from my past concerts. For me, Great Woods was super because there were a number of songs I had not heard live before. I do feel, however, that some of the early stuff lost a good portion of the audience (e.g. Life Is Just A Tire Swing). The c...

Re: How has being a Parrothead changed your life?
As you probably can read out of my screen name, I'm from Switzerland, Europe. I learned about Jimmy and his music maybe 15 years ago. Last year I made it to the Paris show and became a little parrotheadish  Now since the Paris show is in a small venue, and I saw all the photos and videos of t...

Re: How has being a Parrothead changed your life?
Thanks to everyone who posted - this thread has become an anchoring spot when I need to become grounded again. It was great reading back through many of the posts and seeing how lives have been enhanced, enriched, or in some cases transformed by Jimmy and being a Parrothead. While the music is the f...

Re: Terrorists win again
Its a tough call, not knowing the motivation of the mosque builders and backers. Considering the price per square foot in that area, this is an extremely expensive venture. But, barring any zoning restrictions, the builders appear to be in their right to build the structure. I guess if it goes throu...

Re: Need a boat drink recipe
This summer, when not drinking margaritas, I've been cooling off with this: Equal parts: Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, Peachtree Schnapps, Sweet and Sour Mix, and Cranberry Juice. No on site mixing needed, just premake, give a little shake, pour over ice and enjoy. Sounds yummy! Does it have a name? I...
