Re: Radio Margaritaville

I listen to RM often. But if I were programming it, I'd make the following changes: 1. Cut back on the live stuff, especially versions of Jimmy's songs where he flubs the lyrics. There's plenty of live versions to choose from where he gets the lyrics right that they don't need to play the ones he sc...

I would like to hear less "live" and more studio versions of Jimmy's music. I would also like the Buffett Buffet to actual run for the entire hour. Seems now like they end it with 5-6 minutes still left in the hour, plenty of time for another JB song. And, while I was a fan of the likes of...

The article has to be from August 2007. In it, the author states, "The day of next month’s show..." (referring to last September's Toronto show).

Anyone notice that the Set List Database says the last encore was Tin Cup Chalice but, unless my hearing is going, RM ended with Another Saturday Night?

Too bad it wasn't Rochester, NY. A great place to enjoy nothing. Okay, all kidding aside, it is a great place if you love lakes, fantastic museums, wine and wineries (dozens within a short drive and it tis the season), fall colors (though they may be gone in two weeks), and friendly people.

The following must be true since it was found on the Internet: <i> Pearls melt in vinegar. It takes 3,000 cows to supply the NFL with enough leather for a year's supply of footballs. Thirty-five percent of the people who use personal ads for dating are already married. The 3 most valuable brand name...

If I had to choose one, it would be "Mexico." In reality, I wish he would skip the popular covers all together and replace them with some of his earlier work. And while this opinion seems to go against the grain, I think his version of Southern Cross is awful. But, that is just how I feel....

I think that sealed it Pineapple. We are looking to basically hang out and enjoy the beach and weather. We are going to book an AI at RIU Negril for our honeymoon. Just a word of warning about the all-inclusives -- most of them are located at the end of the beach that is farthest from Negril. That ...

That just proves my "vantage point" theory. I always thought Aretha's version was the original. LOL. (And, yes, I am 50-something.) Otis Redding wrote and recorded it in '65. Aretha made it her's in '67 Hmmmm, don't know how I missed that one. I guess if the radio stations where I grew up...

I guess it all depends on your vantage point (or age?). Brown Eyed Girl will always be a Van Morrison song and Southern Cross will always be a Crosby, Stills and Nash song, at least from my vantage point. I hear ya. But, in the same way, R-E-S-P-E-C-T will always be an Aretha tune to me, even thoug...

Not counting his first two albums (High Cumberland Jubilee and Down To Earth) or soundtracks, I would have to say it is a toss-up between Barometer Soup and Far Side Of The World. Even then, they have both grown on me and I enjoy them more now than when they were first released.

Gotta agree with the earlier post saying some covers have basically become "Jimmy's", i.e. BEG, Southern Cross and a couple of others I guess it all depends on your vantage point (or age?). Brown Eyed Girl will always be a Van Morrison song and Southern Cross will always be a Crosby, Stil...

Re: Best Concert Location

Seriously, good tailgating, friendly people, and wonderful concert venue at Star Lake near Pittsburgh, PA.
