Yes...Broadwayat the beach is very nice. As is Barefoot landing. The best nightspots are kinda scattered around. Best bet..... find a local and ask. Mother Fletchers and similar clubs aren't that big in numbers so, yes they are hard to find if you don't know where to look.
Only from what I've heard......RC does have the nicer boats (Voyager of the Seas!) and seem to be little more laid back. Carnival has the more party atmosphere and a few more kids.
Most of the nightlife (other than the heart of MB) usually tends to be towards the northern end of the strand. I don't think you'll have a problem finding things to keep you busy. For a short drive, I recommend Broadway at the Beach. They have a lot of stuff there. Shopping, nightlife, Margaritavill...
