Austin is a great town. As previously mentioned 6th street is a stretch of bars. They close it down to car traffic on weekends so it becomes a lot like Beale street in Memphis or to a somewhat lesser extent Bourbon street in New Orleans. I wish I could offer you some specific names of bars but just ...

I agree the BVI are getting pretty popular but we went from Tortola to Antigua and Antigua was worse. When we go again we'll try to split our time between Anegada and maybe Peter Island as they aren't as built up. Either that or if we can get the right travel companions we'll rent a catamaran for a ...

My wife and I got back yesterday, and while the washing machine is churning away I'll fill you fine pholks in on the trip. First things first though---Reefdiver cherish that picture of you climing the palm tree with the tire swing because it got washed down a week ago Monday in some heavy surf. I wa...

We got the 100 oz. Margarita in Vegas last year at Margaritaville. It's basically a Margarita dispenser that sits on your table and you fill your own cup from it. It cost us $49.95 (which really isn't that bad a deal - considering ordering a Margarita at the bar was like $7.50-$8.00) I have a pictu...

100 ounce margarita

I heard Margaritaville in Vegas offers a 100 Oz. margarita but I couldn't find it advertized on the web site.

Can anyone confirm or deny? What about price?

I'm hoping the rumors are true, I'm up for the challenge!!

I know it's a lot of pressure, but whatever you feel is best I'm sure is fine with most of the pholks here. Just please don't send me any money back.

It may have been better if they HAD asked to see one ticket per person... LOTS of non-phans just hanging out to party. Dressed in street clothes, playing non-Jimmy hard rock. Saw a group of obviously underaged girls. Someone asked them if they had tickets and they replied "Naw, we just came he...

No chairs and while they are allowed, I wouldn't bother brining a blanket either. If you sit on it you won't see anything and it will be so crowded that people really can't "honor" your space and end up standing on your blanket. With the addition of the uncovered pavillion seats, which as ...

Re: And there it was....

I wouldn't care if they posted the lyrics on the Jumbo screen with a little bouncing ball if he meant he would drop most of the songs from the Yellow Album!

That's just funny!!

Re: arrival time

do you think there will be a lot of people there at 9am? or will most people still be sleeping at that time? I detoured by this morning on my way to work and there were already cars lined up at 8am!! 'd guess by 9am you'll see a fairly steady stream of people arriving and it should remain steady un...

Re: pool water

Getting our "stuff" ready to go... having never been to GW, is there anywhere easy to get water for the pool? :o The best way to do it is bring a few (depending on how much water you need) large outdoor Rubbermaid garbage cans with tops. When you get to the GW area stop at one of those do...

Re: pool water

Getting our "stuff" ready to go... having never been to GW, is there anywhere easy to get water for the pool? :o Not that I am aware of. The times we brought the pool we also brought the water to fill it. It's a royal pain which is why we stopped bringing the pool!!! Even if there was a s...

I used to LOVE the lawn seats--actually preferred them to pavillion seats because in my opinion the real party (well 2nd party--can't beat the parking lot) was on the lawn-- Dancing, drinking, fornicating (not me personally but one does see amazing things on the lawn!) Now that I've "put 40 ast...

If there are 4 of us in the car do they check for 4 tickets or will just the driver have to show 1 ticket? My educated guess is you couldn't wave just one, but if you showed three you'd probably be OK. Last year we had a 3 car caravan and all the tickets were with me in my car (thankfully I was the...

Bubba Phan, This trip is Tortola, Jost, and then Antigua. The BVI are just my wife and I then we are meeting 3 other couples on Antigua. In the past we've done Tortola and VG but never Anegada---That will be next trip. 12 days is a decent time. If you desire you can easily enjoy several islands. a f...
