I don't believe that the Bible is written by God. There've been too many edits and changes made between versions, especially back in the times when monks hand copied them. God inspired? Most likely. But I don't believe in taking the Bible literally word for word. That would mean God made mistakes in...

I was raised Southern Baptist. My dad is the head Deacon at their church. I pretty much quit going after college. Not because I don't believe in general, but because I don't believe you have to get dressed up and go listen to a sermon every week in order to be a good Christian. I still go 4 or 5 tim...

I could live without most of the SYKBH, not because I don't like them, but because they're overplayed and could be replaced by other great songs. But the 3 I most dis-like and don't want to hear in concert would be:
1. USS Zydecoldsmobile
2. Math Sux
3. Autour De Rocher

Take the ferry across the bay to Isla Mujeres. I haven't been yet (going in March) but my husband has been a couple of times. He says that's where the best snorkeling is and we're signed up to swim with the dolphins there, too. I never took any Spanish classes, but Mujeres means women, I think. What...

Dos anyone know when you have to go through customs if you have connecting flights? We're coming home from Cancun on a Sunday. Flight doesn't get in until 11pm and we both have to work the next am after an hour drive home. But we have a 5+ hour layover in Philly. Do we, or can we, clear customs ther...

We Are The People

I was just reading a "Where are they now?" article on Ed Podolak from the 70's KC Chiefs. Here's a quote:

"Buffett even wrote a song for Podolak in the early 1980s called 'We Are the People Our Parents Warned Us About.'"

I'd never heard that before. Anyone know if it's true?
