We always bring tons of food (and tables to put it all on), lotsa folding chairs, several coolers (beer), several jugs (margaritas, pina coladas), and misc. decorations draped all over the cars. Our crew is at least 7 people (often more), and we dress up to varying degrees (I'm a grass skirt/coconut...

In '04 the people in charge of parking bottlenecked all the multiple lanes of traffic going down the "driveway" into ONE lane, which caused getting into the park to take way, way, longer than usual. I have no idea why they did this. Normally they have at least two lanes runing into the mai...

I love the lawn. Nothing beats having space to stretch out, dance, and enjoy the feel of the grass between your toes. And every year while in line for tickets I hear people bitterly complaining that if they can't get pavilion seats they aren't going at all. I can't count the number of times I've see...

As usual, they get things going right out of the gate- heavy drinking, overt flirting, bad blood, near nudity and general cluelessness...Everything that makes this show great.

Does anyone know in what part of the island their house is located? I couldn't tell from the quickie aerial shots.

Hey Liz! Congratulations! That's fantastic. Like Frank said, you've got incredible timing. If these kids don't grow up to be Parrotheads, I don't know what else you could have done! (how many other people can say they attended their first buffett show in utero?) As for last year, the Craiger crew bo...

Frank sez: The cops always say the lots don't open until 3:00. We always start lining up at 11:30. We always have traffic at a stand still by noon, and we are always in by 1:00 Yep. We play this silly game every year. I think the cops have to tell people this, because if they told everyone they'll o...

As Ragtop mentioned in the first post, these guys are great:

www.emardigrasbeads.com

I've been getting my beads there for years. They ship really quick, and they always have a special where you can get a box of 60 dozen for about 35 bucks. Highly recommended!

No love for Pittsburgh?? Despite my hometown bias, Star Lake/Post Gazette Pavilion is a fantastic place to see a show. Scenic rural location, big sprawling parking lot with awesome tailgating, and great lawn inside the venue. Let's hope PNC Park was a one-time event and Jimmy comes back home to Star...

If you make it over to CMH on a shopping run, let me know. I can point out a couple of State Stores that seem to have a pretty decent selection. Hey Ringling...what is "CMH"? (Yeah, I'm a dope.) Also, I just saw that you'll be at MOTM. We'll be there too! We need to hook up and grab a few...

How far are you from the State Line, and which one is it? I'm about ten minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, so the closest state border is Ohio/West Virginia, which is about an hour drive (although Maryland isn't much farther). In terms of selection, the best place to buy hard stuff in my neck of the...

I second what rum.man recommends. Everyone I've asked about their recipe has told me that the wine must be red and you absolutely do NOT include any carbonated beverage like Sprite, club soda, etc.

But hey, it's a big world...
