I thought I'd better post in this "poor stepchild of the main Chicago thread" before it slipped off the first page entirely! I suppose I'm the only living soul who is attending ONLY the Thursday show - well, I've been known to talk to myself so I can certainly do it here!

Nicki and I are in Sec 130 (I think that is what Mr. Nicki told us) yes, Sec. 130 Row 5 and many thanks to Mr. Nicki for excellent ticket services and to ejr for helping me arrange my visit (I must be recovering from the Oscars with all this thanking) I'm so excited that I can go and will look forw...

They were great favorites of mine as well - they were the first concert I ever went to! (I think Herman's Hermits opened.)

Great viewing from INSIDE here (about 3 degrees outside) - looks like it's about at peak right now.

I also found McCarthy's The Road to be excellent.

I just finished The Senator's Wife by Sue Miller and although I've enjoyed her previous work I didn't think this was very good. Just MHO.

I just finished Away by Amy Bloom - I thought it was wonderful.

There is a wonderful video clip at http://brucespringsteen.net/news/index.html of the ending band's recent concert in Boston - Bruce and all giving lots of support and affection to Danny. I saw the show in early November and it was terrific. My very best phinpower to Danny.
