I'm wondering if he will move further up the pole next year. The results are based on previous year stats, and JB tours considerably more than the Stones/McCartney/Springsteen/Eagles, and a few others on the list ahead of him. As he reduces the number of shows he performs each year -- most people ca...

Other books by Chatwin you might want to read are "In Patagonia", and "What Am I Doing Here". The latter is a collection of essays published just before he died. Both are good reads.

jollymonhello,

clearly it is on "living and dying", but that was not the question. read the title to the post again, and then reread the 1st post.

you are of course correct if we are asking a "different" question.

1974 is clearly wrong, as the number appears on the live album "You Had To Be There", and it came out in 78/79. I don't have my tix stubs with me, but it was during the 84-86 tour period. I saw him do this replacement tune, and it was a classic. Too bad for the Buckley family, as Jimmy alw...

One of the topics that pushes everyone's buttons  This thread is like the scene in the film JAWS where Robert Shaw, Roy Scheider and Richard Dreyfuss are comparing their scars. Clearly ticketmaster scars run deep, and no one can legitimately claim that they work harder than everyone else when ...

The french spelling is pavillon. They leave out the last i, but there are 2 l's. But I'm not giving anybody credit for spelling either of them right or wrong because they forgot which language they were using.

je ne sais pas

just my thought

This topic doesn't really need a new thread multiple times a day. Perhaps the moderator's should just create a RANT section that people can be directed to. Clearly scalpers, brokers, whatever you choose to call them, are on the board. So what? Buffett tours every year and every year it's yadda yadda...

I just read the article and I tend to agree with RAGTOP's post. She actually says some decent things about JB and the music. It's some of the fans that she is bashing and I don't see that as a bad thing necessarily. And the last line of the article pretty much sums up the whole thing as well...Who C...

I have to give Roth and Hagar a lot of credit for having a huge sense of humor. Who can't appreciate the 2 lead voices of Van Halen touring together while VH sits in the wings. And DLR doing JB...could be worth a listen. I'll check with my buddy mike for tix.

 This sounds a lot like the restaurants based in Hawai'i. Cheeseburger in Paradise has been on the waterfront in Lahaina for years, and they eventually put 2 locations on O'ahu. They just opened one inside the Aladdin Hotel in Vegas as well. I recall that there was some type of legal dispute o...
