I've told the story here before, but it warrants being told here again... I saw Jack in Phoenix last August (the show is actually on Archive.org, download it to hear my story). A couple Parrothead buddies and I were lucky enough to stand against the stage, and as luck would have it, close enough to ...

Yep, A1A far and away. Front to back and back to front it does the most for me as an entire album.

Re: Ipod

I have deleted most of my mp3s off of my hard drive..so the majority of my collection is saved to the ipod only. Me too! My computer is happier for it. :P But to play Devil's Advocate for a moment...I have a 20g Dell Digital Jukebox and absolutely love it. I'm not a huge Mac fan (go ahead, I've hea...

I just picked that up as well, Jah. How do you like it? I've had the Clapton and Anastasio tracks on repeat a lot lately. I like the originals better, but I'm a sucker for collaborations.

Here is a nice image I made for the Set Lists page on my site that shows all the places I could find that Jimmy has played over the years. Thank you both. I found the CoBO listing which was great, as was the map that you made Cap (just joined your site too, btw). I guess I was just curious to see w...

Is there a comprehensive concert history list anywhere?

Does anyone know if such a list exists? I have searched Google, the Parrothead Webring sites, as well as the forums here and elsewhere but haven't been able to find a site that has a detailed history of Jimmy's shows. I don't necessarily care about setlists, but rather where he has played over the y...

I hope the folks at Wal-Mart don't read this thread or they'll start putting stickers on Jimmy CD's  HA! That's part of the reason why I started the topic. Before I became a ParrotHead, I would look at those Columbia House catalogues with the warnings and say, "now what could that Jimmy B...

Jimmy's Potty Mouth

After listening to "West Nashville Grand Ballroom Gown" I got to thinking: How many JB songs contain profanity? I can think of: WNGBG: F*** Overkill: F***in', Horses**t We Are The People: S*** Jamaica Mistaica: S***ty, A-hole I know there are more, but at this hour I can't think of them. I...

I was just there last week and went on a Monday afternoon. I had a great time! Buffett was playing and people were singing along. I went upstairs and sat at the Clipper Bar and had a "Last Mango in Paris," a Pacifico and a "Cheeseburger in Paradise." Food and drink were excellen...

The ONLY redeeming quality that movie had were the Buffett jokes. It was painfully long and generally unfunny. A few parts had me laughing hard, especially when Bill Paxton goes nuts after the Margaritaville request, but this is one movie I wish I could get my $10 back for and wait 'til the DVD come...

I thought it had something to do with "Easy Rider"...until I researched it. (This probably dates me- I haven't ever seen the movie) "Captain America" was the name of the bike in the movie. Doesn't really fit the lyrics too well. I'm voting for "made up."

Good question, Earl. I've thought about this from time to time as well. If I ever have the privilege of really meeting Jimmy, I can assume it will only be in passing and I won't have the opportunity to "get to know him." I'd be fascinated to hear about "what he's really like."

Big Keller fan here. Actually have tickets to see him twice in March when he swings through AZ. Saw him and SCI over Halloween in Vegas for the first time and they both just blew me away. Highly suggest to anyone to check out the website and listen to the available songs.

OK this is a dumb question, but I'll ask it anyway because I just can't help myself. Does anyone have an all time favorite Buffett song? I can't even answer this one myself. Everytime I think this is my favorite , I hear another one and think, no this is my favorite . Actually, I DO! It's between t...

Seagrams hasn't been involved with Margaritaville in over two years. I know it was around the Nov. benefit for 9/11 because the folks at Seagrams nearly cleaned out the closets giving us all the stuff for the infamous Mo's party. :D Mrs. Port rides the train with some Seagrams big shots (that's how...
