White Christmas!
Well, I didn't exactly dream of it, but Mother Nature has bestowed upon us here in southeast central Oklahoma the second White Christmas of my lifetime, so far (the other was back in '77, when I was 9). So, with no place to go, we're enjoying seeing Mother Nature in her bridal gown today. Merry Chri...

According to HitsDailyDouble, "BH" falls to #39 this week with sales of just under 43,000.

Re: Jimmy's Peak Has Run Its Course?
I think one reason "BH" "only" debuted at #17 is due to the time of year. Lots of albums have increased sales during the weeks leading up to Christmas and that makes it harder for others to climb the charts as much. "BH" sold over 68,000 copies in its first week, which ...

Billboard chart results: #17 Pop, not on the country chart.
"Buffet Hotel" has landed at #17 on Billboard's Top 200 albums chart, but for some reason did not qualify for the country chart.

Re: HitsDailyDouble says "Buffet Hotel" will debut at #19.
I finally got my copy today and I'm listening to it now. So far the only song I haven't cared for is "Turn up the Heat and Chill the Rose".
But who knows, it may grow on me.

Re: HitsDailyDouble says "Buffet Hotel" will debut at #19.
I don't feel that #19 overall and #3 country (if it qualifies under Billboard's rules, which it probably will; at least half the songs on the album have to be considered "country", though with a new record I don't know how they decide that) constitutes a flop, especially without major labe...

HitsDailyDouble says "Buffet Hotel" will debut at #19.
The HitsDailyDouble stats and chart positions don't always exactly match the Billboard rankings, but they are always pretty close. According to HDD, "Buffet Hotel" had sales of 68,506 copies in its first week, good enough for 19th place on this week's chart. If it qualifies for the Billboa...

Re: "Buffet Hotel" not available at Wal Mart?
It's not sold out because I checked on Tuesday and Wednesday morning and it wasn't there then, and when I asked they had no idea.
It seems strange that WM wouldn't stock a CD which is bound to debut in at least the Billboard top ten if not the top five.

"Buffet Hotel" not available at Wal Mart?
Our local Wal Mart store (which is the only store in town which is open when I get off work at 6 a.m.) hasn't gotten in one single copy of "Buffet Hotel", and when asked, have no idea when they might get any, if ever. Are Wal Mart stores simply not carrying the record, or it this boneheade...

I doubt this one will have the pro-gun bent that the original John Milius version had. Too much PC crap in Hollywood now.

Re: Pavarotti.
I ended up keeping the CDs, and I'm glad I did.
Luciano Pavarotti now has a place of honor in my CD rack alongside other, diverse greats such as Buffett, Elvis, Waylon, Lightnin' Hopkins, Hank Williams, Flatt and Scruggs, AC/DC, Frank Sinatra, John Denver, B.B. King, etc., etc.

"Lock 'n' Load with R. Lee Ermey"
For those of you who haven't seen it yet, this is a great show. In "Lock n Load with R. Lee Ermey", Gunny traces, in his own unique and entertaining way, the development of various weapons (handguns, machine guns, etc.). Ermey's obvious enthusiasm for the subject matter and the pleasure he...

Re: Dick Armey - Republican Parrothead
Eh, I know liberals who love Ted Nugent.
It's music.
I'm not a U2 fan myself, but that just has to do with the music, which is not my cup o'RedDiamond.
I do like that song Bono wrote for Roy Orbison, though. Roy knocked "She's a Mystery to Me" outta the park.
