Re: 20 Waylon songs you've probably never heard (but should).
The pics from the original CD booklet are great too, especially the one with Waylon and Willie back to back in a Mexican bar, each with a gun in his hand.

Re: 2009 NFL Season
I disagree that TZero is still an elite NFL receiver. In over half the games in 2008 he had LESS THAN 40 YARDS RECEIVING. Press coverage NEUTRAILZES him. And you don't get better by turning 36.

Re: The Obama Recovery is coming.
No, I'm saying that the economy will start to expand again within the next year or so. And I'm saying I believe that this will be accompanied within two years by high inflation, followed by high interest rates.
Obama can only hurt this economy, IMO. It will come back on its own.

The Obama Recovery is coming.
Yes, you read that right. The economy is going to recover. I'm sure of this. Why? Because it always does. Short of a depression, which we have about once every 125 years, dips in the economy always end and the economy gets better within a year or two. It's called the "business cycle" -- th...

Re: 2009 NFL Season
Jerry Jones as much as stated today that TZero will be back in 2009, which means a)-he still doesn't have a clue about what it takes to build/maintain a winning team; b)- he still cares more about publicity of any kind than winning championships; c)- he still would rather have his tongue up TZero's ...

What should the U.S. federal income tax structure be?
Let's say that Congress, in the process of re-examining the federal income tax code, polled every U.S. citizen on what that code should look like. What would you suggest? Please include specific marginal (or flat) rates, while remembering that this is not a thread intended to descend into arguing an...

Re: 20 Waylon songs you've probably never heard (but should).
Waylon wrote more and more songs as his career went along. He wrote most all the songs on his classic 1994 album "Waymore's Blues, Pt. 2". Waylon actually did Shaver a HUGE favor by recording nine of his songs for the "HTH" album in '72, and the two almost came to blows because S...

Re: 20 Waylon songs you've probably never heard (but should).
It's hard to talk about Waylon and not mention the Great Billy Joe Shaver. Billy Joe Shaver wrote a lot of those great classic Waylon songs. Hell, some claim Billy Joe may have started the whole Outlaw movement. If they claim that, they're wrong. Shaver wrote most of the songs on one Waylon album, ...

Re: 2009 NFL Season
As a true silver-and-blue Cowboys fan I'm going into this offseason on a down note. Jerry Jones is an idiot, the organization is fundamentally flawed, T-Zero is a team-killer and I see no real hope for 2009 not being more of the same.

Re: Do you support the Obama "stimulus package"?
The sad thing is, I can't in good conscience say it would be different with a GOP congress, because the GOP congress from 2001-2006 spent money like it was going out of style. They abandoned fiscal conservatism, to their detriment. Ron Paul/Tom Coburn 2012! :) Your right on the spending but we had ...

Re: 20 Waylon songs you've probably never heard (but should).
"Clean Shirt" (which was from 1991 and was Waylon and Willie's final album together, not counting their Highwaymen collaborations) is indeed excellent. It was reissued a couple years back and should be available now.

20 Waylon songs you've probably never heard (but should).
On this seventh anniversary of Waylon's death, I'll honor the man, his music and his memory by highlighting twenty of his best, though not best-known, songs. If you're a Waylon fan and you haven't heard these gems, well...why the Hell haven't you??? * - "Them Old Love Songs" (from "Ar...

Re: Mysterious phenomena?
Wrong. Patterson went to his death bed still saying his film was legit, and his partner still says the same thing. There was one man who claimed to help set it up as a hoax, but he's been proven a hoax himself.
Patterson NEVER said the film was fake.

Re: Any record collection without (fill in the blank)
Depends on taste, of course, but I think any decent and complete record collection is indecent and incomplete without the following: * - At least one comprehensive greatest hits package of: 1)- Elvis; 2)- the Beatles; 3)- the Rolling Stones; * - "Songs You Know by Heart" by you know who; *...

From the song lyrics, I was under the impression that the story in the song took place at Capt. Tony's but that the old man in the story was someone else. Am I wrong?
