Re: Bruce Springsteen coming to Great Woods

The news isn't the size of the venue. He's been playing indoor arenas, some smaller that Great Woods, this whole tour. The big news is that he's playing a shed with the E Street Band

I hate to see this. They were incredible in Philly. This is from www.melodicrock.com , which has a history of getting it right. I can confirm, 100% that this is absolutely correct and there will be no further live shows at this time. We can get to the reasons behind this decision in a later update -...

I was in the nosebleeds in 2005, and the sound up there was great. Once you're actually inside the show, Camden is better, but CBP is much better for everything else. It's part of a stadium complex, so there's plenty of parking with a GREAT scene, as opposed to all those smaller lots in Camden. And ...

What song did they do?

Russ Kunkel has toured with him for the last 3 or 4 years. He and Leland Sklar were JT's rhythm section in the early days.

Wolfie did just fine as a bass player AND with background vocals.

Yeah, whatever happened with Michael Anthony is a shame. But when you're there, you don't miss him.

I still get a kick out of the fact that Bruce, Police, and Van Halen are touring, but the most in demand ticket is HANNAH MONTANA.

I was at night 2 in Philly, and if you are or have ever been a Van Halen fan, it's well worth seeing. GREAT performances from all four guys. All the reviews in the press have been good. Here's one from Cleveland. http://blog.cleveland.com/entertainment/2007/10/reunited_van_halen_delivers_ha.html

That would be cool. I like the Wrigely DVD, but I've always wanted from a "shed" so it could document what most of us experience.

JMHO, but aside from the misspelling, isn't it a properly credited quote from a JB song? Is that illegal? The big inspiration for the whole Margaritaville empire was seeing his name misspelled on shirts he didn't authorize. It was in the early to mid 80's, which wasn't a high point for him, career ...

Back to back shows would be very possible. Most touring bands do that, often with longer drives than DC to Atlantic City. If that's what the schedule permits and the price is right, he'd probably do it. And I think it's unlikely that he'd do a Nissan/AC/Jones Beach triple (something else a lot of ba...

They put out an album called BALANCE and toured. I saw them in Camden (first year it was open).

It was a decent album; the biggest song was "I Can't Stop Loving You".

I thought Ed Van Halen had been in rehab before. Is he going back or is this his first rehab stint? [smilie=huh-ani.gif] He did supposedly clean up in the mid 90's, but not everyone agreed that he was completely dry. I don't know if he officially went to rehab or just announced that he wanted to cl...

Camden is a decent venue (seems comparable to other "sheds") right on the Delaware River with a great view of the Philly skyline right across the river. It's part of the "Camden Waterfront", which includes the Tweeter Center, NJ Adventure Aquarium, Campbell's Field (home to baseb...
