The record companies have a lot to do with this. They sign young and pretty people for peanuts and promote them to death. When the time comes for the to negotiate the next contract for big bucks, they are simply cast aside for someone younger and willing to sign for peanuts.

I've been a big DMB fan for about 4 years. Dave is a great song writer and innovative guitar player, and all the rest of the guys are great musicians. Carter Beauford (drummer) is one of the better musicians out there.
