Happy Waitangi Day

Kia Ora,

I am about 15 minutes early, but I'm tired and going to bed, so I thought I would post it now. Let's hope the Maori and Pakeha can get along today! Hell, the Prime Minister has already been pushed around a bit, so who knows. Good luck!

Re: Ryan Adams and the Cardinals

After many years of attending JB concerts, I have had to settle for whatever comes my way now. Due to the excess cost of tickets and the limited variety of artists coming my way, I haven't been able to see a lot the past few years. However, I was pleased to be able to attend Ryan Adams and the Cardi...

Ryan Adams and the Cardinals

By the time most of you read this I will be getting ready for the Ryan Adams show here in Auckland! I have never seen him before, and since Jimmy is WAY too far away again this year, it looks like this may be my best show of the year! Has anyone out there ever seen one of his shows? If so, where and...

Re: Teenage girl present ideas?

My 12 (almost 13) y.o. daughter loves the Hollister and American Eagles stores....maybe a gift card or even jewelry from there is "cool"! What a thoughtful thing you are doing! Good ideas, thanks. These girls are REALLY amazing with our kids. The oldest just recently went on a cruise in t...

Re: WTF detroit

I have always found the show in Detroit impossible to get tickets...that is without going to stub hub or ebay. However, I have had pretty decent luck on ebay over the years...it just may take you waiting until closer to the show. Regardless, that is why the Detroit venue drives me nuts...it's almost...

Teenage girl present ideas?

Hi everyone, We have three teenage girl neighbors (15, 13 and 12 probably) who are amazing with our two kids (3 and 1). Their birthdays are coming up soon and we want to get them something little to show our appreciation for how they are always so sweet to our kids...however, we have no clue what gi...

A cat story that is kind of funny...

My 3 year old son was just in the tub playing...he had been in there for a bit and we had been checking on him as he played with his toys. Anyway, he started SCREAMING "it's climbing on me, it's climbing on me...!!!" We ran in to the bathroom to see that our boy Talor was holding our cat L...

Re: Shrimp Burger Recipes?

Well done you guys...thanks. I used to have a recipe that included cajun seasonings, breadcrumbs, etc and they made burgers that you then fried up. They were so good and I am kicking myself for losing the damn thing. I'll have to give these a go though and see what we can do. Unfortunately (not real...

For those of you needing to go where the weather suits your clothes...I believe Quantas has a deal on their website (ending tomorrow I believe) that will get you to parts of Australia and New Zealand for $760 USD from LA. That's a great deal and the weather is fantastic here this time of year! I jus...

Re: The Worst Pop Singer Ever ?

I was a bouncer at a local venue in Michigan quite a few years back and got the unfortunate task of being in front of the stage at a Brittney Spears concert...that was THE WORST show I have ever been to by far! She is my leader for today's worst...and that was before she became crazy!

Re: Some rather "smelly" cat advice needed...

Lola gets pretty spoiled too, but I think she probably likes her "alone" time at night as well. We have two kids (3 yrs and 1 yr) and they "love" the kitty pretty roughly at times. I can only imagine if we let her roam the whole house at night and she woke the kids...not good! My...

Re: Some rather "smelly" cat advice needed...pg 2 updated

I just thought that I would update all of you who helped me with this problem...my kitten Lola has been sleeping out in our lounge the past few nights and has done great! She has not left little parcels in our tub any longer and seems to be pleased with her new arrangements. Thanks for all your help...
