Re: National Apple Day Friday @ the MSC
I know Mainers from Bar Harbor. They say it correctly, but the Baa Haa Baa is fun to say! I was eyeball to eyeball with emus today. My great nephew's pets are 5 feet tall at 6 months, but can stretch to almost 6 feet. Not sure I agree with this story as It is not my lived experience but... https://...

A sad night last night, here a Chez de la Rabbitz.
We had to say farewell to one of our much loved cats.
15 years of joy, 15 years of love.
We are shattered.

Yes and it is a challenge until I get my good leg back in shape. With low blood count wasnt able to get of hospital bed My dude, do not be shy about canes, stair rails, etc. You’ve been helping folks your whole life. Seeking/accepting help is hard when you’re unexpectedly on the receiving end. Allo...

Labour Day holiday here in the beautiful Barossa Valley (and some other places too). Finally, we've strung together a couple of fine days. My wife (Toni) and I are not huge fans of cooking shows. Unusually, this morning Toni was half-watching a show called "Beat Bobby Flay". By the end I w...

Sadly, satellite radio isn't a thing here and online SiriusXM are geoblocked here (they don't pay licencing outside the US so can't offer the service, which is all cool and legal like).

When I did my fire brigade chainsaw training, that was one of the things that surprised me. Always start the saw on flat ground, then with the chain brake on, haul it up to the work. :o If you stalled it up the tree or on the roof, you climbed down to restart it on the flat ground again. Apparently...

Technically, Diana would have the title Queen.springparrot wrote: ↑September 8, 2022 7:16 pm
I think Charles has "strayed" more than once.
If things were different Diana would be Queen Consort now......
Camilla, because of complications over being a divorcee and the spectre of Diana was only given the lesser title.

The "Royals" choose to remain neutral, at least in public. Her Majesty had regular (monthly I think) meetings with the UK Prime Minister (i.e. the head of the UK government) and you can't tell me those meetings were to discuss the corgis. Charles has strayed occasionally into political ter...

I don't get the whole "King & Queen" thing.......... What do they do???? Besides wave to people and attend parades?? I am only speaking about the "British" monarchy here but the monarch is currently the head of state of 15 countries. As such the main role, for those who have...

Afternoon BNers The Queen is gone. I wasn't sure Charles would be King, but guess eso. Doubt if he will serve 70 years. Astros won in extra innings last night. Today is a day off with another series starting in Anaheim tomorrow. Has it been announced that Charlie and Cowmilla will take the throne? ...

Hey LR! Things are doing OK. Still a long way from getting this place knocked into shape and money is very tight but otherwise we are enjoying the country life. Toni was born and bred a country girl, where I was (am?) a beach-bum. Thus Toni loves it out here. A couple of weeks ago I realised that fo...

Re: Sun after Rain SATURDAY @ the MSC
I think the subject line needs to change for those of us in SE Oz. "Rain after Rain" would be more appropriate. Last Thursday marked one year living in the glorious Barossa Valley. Being one of the planet's premier wine regions (especially for shiraz) we celebrated at a local cellar door w...
