Re: BIG storm Wed @ the MSC

Wet, miserable and relatively cold say the weather guessers. The sun's not up yet but I think they may be right on this one. Here it is a bit after 6 AM and work is already giving me the irits. An anally retentive reviewer has tried to quote chapter and verse out of the Navy's style guide at me. A t...

Is there really anything else to do in Georgia??
Apparently when in GA you can:

"I'm just going to drive up by the lake
And put my ass in a lawn chair, toes in the clay
Not a worry in the world, a PBR on the way
Life is good today, life is good today"

Mrs Rabz also bought a new car just before lockdown.

A Skoda Octavia wagon - her second of this model.

Got it in Feb. Has less than 100 miles on the clock so far. Strangely, the repayments keep going out...

Re: Will We Make It to 9 Saturday at the MSC

The raised herb/veggie now has new legs :). We're looking at crappy weather tomorrow so new legs is as far as it will get. Just don't feel like laying newspaper and barrier in the bottom & dumping in the soil just yet. Will probably wait until we know there's no more frost on the horizon. Don't wor...

Check. Check. Check 1. Sibilance. Sibilance. Check. Check. Check 2. Sibilance. Sibilance. But as every good roadie* knows. it is Check Wah and Check Tsoo. Wah is guttural and descending. Tsoo is as you say sibilant and is like a T hissed and ends with a guttural ooh. The idea is to excercise the va...

Re: National Pigs in a Blanket Friday @ the MSC

Btw, I lit another fire in the fireplace tonight...it's April 24th (or March 129th), wth? Well as today is ANZAC Day it also marks the day, in this household, where lighting the fire is now permitted. Happily, it looks like an 82°F day, so no fire with be lit. Well, I may light the firepit in the b...

Re: National Pigs in a Blanket Friday @ the MSC

Here in Oz it is ANZAC Day. I guess it is like Veteran's Day in the US. It is usual for many Australians to attend a pre-dawn ceremony and a Dawn Service at their local cenotaph or attend the large services held in many towns and cities. Sadly this year, these services were not held. Undeterred, Aus...

I like that the people out protesting and saying it is all a hoax tend to be covered, head to toe, in PPE and masks. I get a kick out of all the Faux News reporters commenting on them and how righteous they all are.... How come all the reporting is done from the safety of their own kitchens or dens...

Well it's mid-afternoon Friday. I've been sitting around waiting on new work since about 8 AM. I did get some new work "it'll take you a couple of days to do these updates" I was confidently told at 6 AM this morning. As you may have guessed I delivered it at 8 AM. It's funny how you can get things ...

Yes, concrete slabs are a curse on the building industry. The problem is it is cheap and quick.

When we move from here I will never buy or build a place on a slab again.
