Who cares if you can't see the stage? I can see pictures and video of Jimmy et al anytime... But I can't get the feel of a live Jimmy show whenever I want! The experience of the whole day is why I go, and why I will continue to go until he retires in 20 years... Looking forward to this weekend!

How do all of you water taxi riders plan on tailgating? Or are you just showing up in the island for the show? We'll be leaving the party @ the pier as soon as the lots open up and we will have coolers of plenty of beverages and food... But we'll only have enough to share w/ the nicest of moochers. ...

I've been to Chicago plenty of times. Obviously. Never once even spoke to an officer of the law except that one time I traded patches w/ one.

Since when are Parrotheads such downers? Didn't think that was possible. Everything you post is just bashing Chicago, the venue, the people.... Cheer up or shut up man.

I'm going to walk in a few minutes before showtime, squeeze into a tight spot by some newly made pals, and enjoy myself from dawn to dawn(ish). And maybe I'll toss some mud up toward your reserved seat to let you in on our fun.

I'm confident in my ability to outrun the the person next to me... So let's do it. What's a better way to make a memorable weekend than to risk a trip to the clink? Who even calls it the clink anymore? I'm in.

Not sure that plan will work ... Thinking most downtown hotels have ramps instead of lots. Some sort of pre-tailgate gathering of Parrotheads would be great though

Get a hotel! We're paying 50 or 60/ night @ the downtown Courtyard by Marriott by going through priceline. Enjoy the night... Don't drive home!

A gathering of Parrotheads would be preferable to just hanging w/ normal people... So maybe we could utilize this forum and other social media to organize something?

I'm partial to Changes in Latitudes w/ the tailgating picture/video montage... Probably because we end up on the screen every year and it just feels great.

I am rather disheartened by the lack of conversation here from the Chicago crowd. Is anybody even going to this show?
