As a Chicagoan who will not drink the “Wrigleyville is just as good if not better than a tailgate” kool-aid, this makes me happy.

I’m going to actually agree on God’s Own Drunk. It’s obviously played for the hardcore fans, but it is an energy killer live since there’s a lot of rambling and no hook. I can listen to that song occasionally, but it drags.

The second half of the KC setlist was a little “copy and paste” from previous years, but the first half was so good that I’m pretty mad there’s no Alpine and we just get stupid Wrigley for Chicago. I thought that was one of the best shows I’ve heard in a long time.

This year’s tour sucks.

Oh it could. It definitely could.

The second half of the little set was a little cookie-cutter but the first half had some nice change-ups.

The good: we're about six songs into the Charleston show and we've already gotten Stars on the Water, Only Time Will Tell, and Jolly Man. Starkly different from what we've seen the past two years.

The bad: it looks like BEG is the opener for this tour.

I've had a playlist sitting in my iTunes library since December 2016 called "Buffett Tinley 2017." Obviously it has still yet to be played at either Tinley or Alpine...

Plus Des Moines kind of kills the need for Alpine. Wrigley is probably supposed to cover Chicago/Milwaukee, and Des Moines is probably supposed to cover everybody who usually travels east to Alpine.
