This is kind of mundane compared to the other exotic places mentioned but I'll vote for Huck's Cove in Pascagoula, MS. Lovely atmosphere literally in a tiny cove accessible by water or land. Plus they're all parrotheads.

I agree with Markymarker on this. I don't like celebrities using their status to influence others to vote "their" way. The principle of getting people out to vote is wonderful. Many more people need to exercise their privilege to vote. This should be an unbiased request by the "celebr...

I did run out and buy it. Listened to it the first time with a totally open mind; actually a biased mind since I really liked LTC. Very disappointed after listening the first time. So I listened a second time but found myself even more disappointed. Was going to trash it but after reading the posts ...

Hell, he's got the 2nd oldest Margaritaville here and is avoiding the whole state and so far everything around it. Still hope though, looks like there's still a lot of open dates. Please book this way.

Starting to get nervous!

So it ain't so parrotheads. As we get later in the year I see no where in the South (other than Fla) where our favorite band is booked. What did we do? For a guy where New Orleans, Pascagoula, etc. had so much early influence we're feeling kinda left out. No Houston, New Orleans, Dallas, (heaven for...

Sorry, that should have said naysayers. I don't really know what to say to a (g)nat, or whether it would understand what I said as I don't speak gnatonese.

OK, after reading this thread I had to pull out the song and listen to it again. It is awesome. Better than 5:00 in my ignorant opinion. But then again I loved Altered Boy also. This song so much reminds me of JB's early days. Perhaps you natsayers should "Go turn on Dr. Phil." Laissez les...

Of couse he is. Look at the awards. But I don't know why they even call it Jazzfest. All types of music from around the world is played and recent past headliners are JB, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Lenny Kravitz (this year too), etc. It's always a blast and at $22 a head for all day it's a musical bar...

Bummed out in LA.

Well it looks like JB won't make Jazzfest as promised last year unless there is a drastic schedule change. Headliners usually play one of the two Saturdays and JB's already booked elsewhere. I hope something changes but we can always hope for next year. Plus make plans to catch him at other venues t...

I must confess that I do like Jimmy Buffett and am happy for his success although it seems the commercialism is getting a little carried away. But who am I to judge that since my job depends on successful commercialism itself. Not that that is a good thing. Still it would be nice to see some of his ...

I hope you are right. I know he told the audience at several shows last year they were going to play Jazzfest. I've been looking forward to it ever since I heard that last year. It's the closest chance (though not the only) we get to see him play. I do wish he'd come back to Baton Rouge, hasn't been...
