Re: Jack Johnson

Who else has bought his new cd? I think it's great. I mean a lot of his songs sound the same after a while, but I love the laid back sound that he has. I wouldn't put him and Jimmy in the same boat, but he has that beach sound that I really enjoy. What does everyone else think? I've got it and I LO...

Down in the dark of a beat out soul
There's a few good second hand dreams
Deep in the dark of a heavenly night with you
Down in the black of a bottomless hole
There's a few good second hand scenes
Deep in the dark of a heavenly blue
Where the sea runs green

Sevenstar- A St. Louis Band

Has anyone from the St. Louis area ever checked out a band called Sevenstar? My cousin's the guitarist and they are starting to gain a pretty good following. I would suggest that everyone check them out. They used to play acoustic rock, but have kinda added a bit of a poppier sound on their latest a...

When the Coast is Clear is a seriously good Buffett/McAnally song that would have been perfect as the albums finale, as it would have been without Dis Bidness. Perhaps Floridays would have been better off as a 9 track album. I think most would agree that YNWIDBA just doesnt fits in with the rest of...

What Are Jimmy's other all-around good albums? I'd go with A1A, Riddles in the Sand, and Coconut Telegraph as those I enjoy listening to from beginning to end without ever skipping a track. Of course in the case of Floridays it come out after the 9th track.

As far as steel drum highlights on a Buffett album, I love the steel drum and horns going back and forth on "Far Side Of The World".
If Bruce Dickinson produced FSOTW I bet we'd have more cowbell.
