Re: Wrigley Field 2018

This board is awfully negative for Parrotheads. :) No tailgating sucks, but Jimmy clearly views playing at Wrigley as a dream come true. I went last year, and the atmosphere was special. Don't wanna go? Don't! My crew and I and tens of thousands of other Parrotheads will have an epic time without y...

Re: Indianapolis 2018

Wow, based on StubHub availability and prices, the Indy Parrotheads are gobbling these up FAST!

Re: Cincinnati 2018

Weird that neither of the two traditional epicenters of Parrothead fandom (Atlanta and Cincinnati) got a Saturday show. Scheduling conflicts?

Re: Wrigley Field 2018

For those saying this will be badly attended, there are about 4,500 tickets available on StubHub from $60 and up. Not making any predictions, but that is about on par with last year's sellout so far (in mid-February).

Re: Jokelben update 10-26-2017

Wow, I know this is late and all, but I just read all of this. Heartbreaking. :( Geuniunely sorry for you guys that someone is being a total jerk with your hard work. As a fan super interested in older live shows but with no access to them (at least that I'm aware of), I'd like to beg whoever is doi...

Re: Locations of Various Live Tracks

^ Wow, thanks! Amazed you found that stuff, haha.

Like I said, I've always wanted to picture the venues when listening to these live tracks, so I'm very grateful!

Re: Locations of Various Live Tracks

As well as the Live in Mansfield, MA, Live in Hawaii, Live in Auburn (Seattle), Live in Cincinnati, Live in Las Vegas, Live in Anguilla, Live at Fenway Park, Fin City (Live in Las Vegas 2011), and other random cd's that have live tracks such as Calaloo (Kinja, Cairo). I can post the dates of those ...

Re: Alpine Reopening

I totally respect wanting to see Jimmy at Alpine over Wrigley. I was bummed myself. However, it would be a real shame if Parrotheads can't pack Wrigley again. :(

Re: Alpine Reopening

I think there’s still hope for Alpine. There’s no way he’s going to draw 43,000 at Wrigley on a Friday. It’s certainly not going to pull in the Wisconsin crowd and it’s not going to pull in the Chicago crowd who will make the drive to Alpine anyway. July 14th at Wrigley is Def Leppard/Journey. They...

Re: Alpine Reopening

Definitely a bummer, as I missed the tailgating, but I'm an optimist. Wrigley was a special atmosphere even with overpriced bars and poor acoustics. I'll be there, and I can't wait!

Praying for this!! Had the time of my life at Wrigley last year, but I'd really like to expose my friend and girlfriend to the tailgating alternative!

Locations of Various Live Tracks

Hi, all! I have always been interested in where various live tracks on Jimmy's albums were recorded, so I thought it would be fun to get the list in one place. Plus, maybe some will find out they were at these shows?? :) I got these everywhere from Wikipedia, iTunes review comments, an old Cincinnat...

Re: Radio Margaritaville

In addition to some of the important gripes that have been posted so far, these two things bother me as a daily listener: 1) Can they play live shows from a bit more "exotic" times ever?! I feel like I've heard San Francisco 2009 and other later shows three times. It would be awesome to he...

Re: Buffett's 4 Majors

Bump: Just listened to a few old recordings of ATL shows (thanks to this wonderful site!), and there's no way Atlanta doesn't make a "big four" for Jimmy. In the preshow interviews, he talks about it as being on par with Cincinnati as far as "where it all started" in every single...

Feeding Frenzy Album Cover

Does anyone know what amphitheater is in the background? I'd always assumed Atlanta (doesn't look like Riverbend), but I suppose it's just a picture and could be from anywhere. Does anyone recognize it?

This has always bugged me. :P

Re: Buffett's 4 Majors

Atlanta has to be in the top 4. People down South know how to do it right. Atlanta isn't always on the tour stop. And not to many people , outside of the area Travel there , compared to GW , JB , Cincy , Alpine or Tampa. I don't even think it would make the top 10 as far as destinations or top tail...

Re: Who's going to Wrigley July 15 2017?

Anyone know if any of the surrounding bars are having "tailgating" events, i.e. like that you may need to purchase advance tickets for? We're coming in from out of town and were planning on bar hopping all day until the show, but interested to know of any special events The last time Buff...
