Amen to that! And if they do leave Boston, I wonder if the Krafts (of NE Patriots fame) are Parrotheads? Maybe they could work a deal with GW and exchange the PGA parking at Gillette Stadium for the Buffett shows -- 68K people per show. Might not be a quaint as GW or Fenway, but that's a ton of PHAN...

Will this go through? You bet. This isn't about satisfying the Parrotheads. It's about filling 33K seats for two nights. If that means no Village, so be it. The newspaper article made it sound like only a few thousand would be able to get in to the tailgate area anyways, so having it or not won't im...

Actually, it sounds like the neighboors are in favor of the concert, but just don't like the Parrothead Village idea (tailgating). And while I was thinking, "yeah, could be quite a cleanup problem", it seems the main reason is the money -- For Ed Burke, executive secretary of the West Fenw...

Interesting that the link points to NextTicketing. I thought NextTicketing handled only the Boston area? Jones Beach seems to be 100% ticketmaster. :-? Hmmm. Like any die-hard Red Sox fan, I'm not going to jump off the bandwagon just yet. Even if the WS is over. MB next year, next year, next year, n...

I have to agree with VT Parrothead, and hope that JB does both the GW and Fenway shows. As mentioned elsewhere, Bruce did a few shows at Gillette and a few at Fenway -- no problem selling them out. I really don't want to throw any bad karma out there, but the good news in all of this seems to be tha...

As much as I hate seeing several large artists go on
sale the same day, I hold out the faint hope that it
also limits the amount of tickets that the scalpers are
able to get as well!

right now your chances are about the same as everyone else's chances -- tickets don't go on sale until Saturday the 28th! I've found great tips reading through this forum. One of the best was to have multiple options open -- people in line at TM locations; people on the web. We had 5 people trying f...

I don't mind whether it's Labor Day or not just as long as he PLAYS here :pirate: ! Also on the Fenway concerts, a month or so ago a Boston radio station (WAAF) had either the Red Sox GM or Prez on and they got to chatting about the Springsteen show, and if anything was being planned for this summer...

RE: distance from York, ME -- personally, I'm about 50 miles. Meadowbrook is about 60 miles. RE: outdoor -- yeah, that is what I thought too, but apparently they have a banquet center that is used to stage a pre-show buffet and after show gatherings. During the winter they have dinner/dance type of ...

New Hampshire - Feeding Frenzy

It's not quite Jimmy, but Meadowbrook in Gilford, NH is having a "FEEDING FRENZY" (dinner/dance) featuring Fish Outta Water, a Jimmy Buffett tribute band on Saturday, March 6th. Any one familiar with the band? Is this a traditional thing at Meadowbrook? Seems to co-incide with the ticket s...

Unfortunately, I don't think you will find the two new releases in stores until Jan 13th. But you can order directly from Mailboat record's web site, or Margaritaville.com. I placed an order a few weeks ago for shipment on Dec 15th (release date), but have not received it yet.

These appear to be VIP tickets. Anyone know what that means? Maybe you just get to pay the extra $50 bucks for buying via pre-sale! It looks like the regular price on Monday will be $37/$60.50/$70.50. Had I not already bought all my Xmas gifts, I might have been tempted to actually complete the sale...

Definately plan to stay afterwards. Last Friday after the Counting Crows/John Mayer concert it was at least an hour before cars really started moving. People rushed to fill the lanes, and just stayed there, engines idling. Got home at 2AM that night. Last year we fired up the grill, took out the cha...

Just about ready myself. Made the trip to the liquor store last night, and my wife picked up all the other provisions this morning, including a case of salad dressing cups with lids. Due to a change in plans, I will be cancelling some rooms for Saturday night at the Holiday Inn in Mansfield at around 12PM today.
