Re: Coke - Mexican or American? Sugar or Corn Syrup?

During Passover, grains are avoided. The corn syrup in coke is a factor, as, apparently are traces of alcohol from grain, so coke that is acceptable throughout the year, is not acceptable during Passover. Before Passover, you thoroughly clean your home, getting rid of any open products that are not ...

Re: The Beatles Last Concert....

We have a ticket stub from that show framed and displayed in our Tiki Hut. Sponsored by KYA Radio 1260. Gate A Section 19 Row 15 Seat 22. Reserved seating was $5.50. (There was no LiveNation in those days, so no handling fees.) Our neighbor attended the show and gave us his stub as a Tiki Hut warmi...

Re: The Devastating Effects of Hurricane Irene

Unofficial explanation is that the accelerator got stuck. He was sober so it was just an unfortunate accident. If you look at the other photos, the damage to my neighbors' cars was worse. I got real lucky. He missed our car and the house and most importantly, our kids. My sprinkler and flagpole too...

Re: WOW!!!!

When he rescheduled Chicago in 2001, postponing the shows for 2 weeks because of 9/11, there were tons of empty seats. People who had planned to be there from out of town just could not do so two weeks later. And, I think I remember folks on the lawn, in some cases, were allowed to move into the pav...

Re: Who's Going to Bristow, VA 8/27-see page 41 for contact info

When his Chicago shows were rescheduled in 2001, due to 9/11, the same policy was in effect. Lots of poeple turned in their tickets for refunds and then bought better seats. And while tailgating is a huge deal to most of us, remember, we are also the ones that love hearing all those songs that other...

Re: Manassas Update

Many of the Buffett concerts I have attended have included a patdown as you enter the venue, some more thorough than others, especially the concert 2 weeks after 9/11. Not a big deal. As for the lack of tailgating, I have also been to several shows in Northern California with no tailgating. includin...
