Pine Knob aka DTE is a VERY VERY VERY small venue. Its about 1/2 the size of most venues, and about 1/4 of the size of the Tweeter in Tinley Park. WOW! You aren't kidding. I never realized how small that place is - 15,200 seats total. I'm surprised they get any top tier acts to play there. Most cou...

Its all about the bathroom, isn't it? ;-)

As for the tailgate...I heard you had a good time!

Off subject a bit, but... Since when is Detroit the "home of rock n roll?" Cleveland is the birthplace of rock (see Alan Freed). Memphis is the birthplace of blues which gave rise to rock (see Sun Records). I might even give you Wildwood, NJ (see Chubby Checker and Bill Haley). But Detroit...

AMC is right...

Riverbend - Sunday, August 21.

Tickets go on sale 3/26 through Ticketmaster (no sales at the Riverbend box office - who goes to the box office anymore?).

Riverbend confirmed this via telephone this afternoon.

CC.com is a portal (of sorts) connecting to Ticketmaster.com. It essentially works the same.

Major League Baseball's .com service owns tickets.com - different and on different servers.

According to my sources, Great American Ballpark (Cincinnati) will NOT happen.

We'll have to hope for a Riverbend show.

When you guys use iTunes for Windows, does it download the track as an MPEG-4? How can I get it to download as mp3? You can't. If you download from the iTunes Music Store, they download as AAC files. The quickest thing to do is burn a disc of the AAC files and re-rip them to MP3s. To rip files as M...

Talk to me in five years about your decision.

Just kidding.

I think. :-)

Speaking of Apple and JB - anyone else notice that License To Chill was never put out digitally on iTunes or Rhapsody? Anyone know why that is? There are a few reasons for this (#1 is the main reason, #2 and #3 are additional possible hold ups)... 1) Obtaining the rights from the various labels and...

The shows are being recorded. Nothing is slated for release in the near future.

The next project up for release is the 12/8/04 event on DVD. No release date has been scheduled.

I know there are lots of iPod users out there, but if you are looking to get something similar, IMO just as good, and cheaper, check the Dell DJ. Basically the same thing, only cheaper! Don't even try to go there. You must make your living working for Dell to make a comment like that. It's like com...

My wife got it for me - had to be one of three places: MicroCenter, Apple Store or CompUSA. I'll check. At any rate, its made by MarWare and they are selling them online now, too.

Tickets are going to make it into the hands of brokers and scalpers before the general public regardless of what ticketing system is used. Why? Because many of the companies, teams and venues also own ticket broker companies. This is a little known fact. http://www.legalaffairs.org/issues/July-Augus...

Tickets.com is owned by Major League Baseball's internet arm - not Ticketmaster. Tickets.com, at least through last year, sold approximately 40% of all Major League Baseball tickets. With Buffett playing in baseball parks, it only makes sense for the tickets to be sold through ticketing systems alre...

A Jimmy Buffett iPod (Sort of)

At Christmas I received the special edition U2 iPod. Apple followers will know this was not the first special edition as early on there were also Madonna, Tony Hawk and Beck. This got me to thinking, wouldn't it be cool if there was a Jimmy Buffett special edition iPod and iTunes could offer up &quo...

I was in high school when I started seriously getting into Buffett and his music. I was a junior I think (16 years ago).

With that said, I've always "listened" to Buffett as my parents had all the vinyl and it was frequently played.
