I ended up with extras last year because 3 people had to cancel for various reasons. I sold them AT COST in the parking lot, day of the show. Took less than 5 minutes. But I always buy for my group. Every ticket gets used. What would the point of hoarding them be?

The "sand, pools, etc." reference is meant to discourage ... and to the guest who two years ago attempted to set up a large 16' round pool in our parking lots. I remember that guy! We were one of the first ones in line at the gate that day, I saw the tanker truck of water get turned away.

I'm set for both Jimmy AND Rush....there was a pre-sale for Rush, and I have tix already, even though they don't go onsale for another 15 minutes.

I've done weekday shows at Alpine. Granted it's been a while, but when I was growing up in it's shadow, I was there every night of the week. It's the current owners that like to restrict it, but if they can make $$$$.....
