I have a system for being able to drive home. Get to the lot at noon, and start the drinking. I drink up until it's time to go inside the ampitheatre, and eat some food then, too. I won't drink inside. (For one thing it's too damn expensive). So I've stopped drinking around 6pm. Show starts at 8, en...

I have been to 2 shows at Great Woods. Sorry, Alpine Valley is better (in my humble opinion). Both the lot and the venue are better. I've also seen him in Chicago (Poplar Creek and World), Indy, St. Louis, Vegas, Tampa Bay, and Milwaukee (Summerfest). None come close to Alpine. (I'd have to say GW w...

Directions to get to Hogs'n'Kisses depend on where you are coming from. I'll give you from East Troy, since I don't know where you are coming from. Follow Hwy 120 south. It'll take you straight into Lake Geneva. The road curves around a lot, but DON'T TAKE ANY TURNS, even when the Hwy turns off! HnK...

I have 2 extra lawn for Alpine. 2 members of our phlock have to go to a wedding. I don't want to go through anything complicated, just send me a PM if you are in Milwaukee and interested. I'll let you know when and where to find me. Face value, face-to-face exchange. (I paid $46.30 per ticket after ...

I think the entire concept behind One Particular Harbour. Whenever life gets rough, go to your "one particular harbour" to get away. You'll feel better. Whether it's a private place to escape, a particular friend, a good book or CD, or whatever. Everyone needs that one special thing that w...

Secret for doing it by phone:

Get hold of an operator early, and stall him/her by asking lots of questions about other shows. Wait for 10am, and then tell them you want tix!

Re: no luck for us

3 telephones and one internet connection tried for 15mins then got the "sold out" recording :( Anybody out there have a couple of extra lawn seats, if not you'll see us cruising the parking lot anyway. PM me. I have two people that aren't sure if they can make it. I'll have to let you know!

I came to the 14 minute conclusion for Alpine because at 10:13 the person ahead of me in line tried for 4 lawn seats and couldn't get them. I then asked for one and did. The people behind me were also shut out, looking for 2. I then talked to my cousin, who was online and finally got through at 10:1...

Hey, to each his own...but I've been to Buffett shows in 8 different venues, and Alpine is far and away the best I've been to.

You're the first I've heard that was at a blocked outlet, but I know Ticketbastard does block you if you are too far from the venue (in total miles). You may have just been too far away. The show did sell out in 14 minutes, and at most places, only the first in line got pavilion.

Haha....thought I might get that type of reaction to this...just feeling y'all out.

Funny thing is, this might be the first year in a decade I haven't brought a virgin along myself! (There might be just one, he's not sure if he can get off work yet)
