to aviod the canopener thing and get to jones beach the only parkway you can take is the meadowbrook.. it's made for city busses to pass and go to the beach

leave yourself plenty of time to get to Bridgeport.... last 2 times I went south, there were traffic tie-ups between New Haven and Bridgeport... Will do thanks for the advice! Mapquest says about 2 and a half hours... I'm gonna give us a little over 3 hours... Looks like we'll be leaving at 6:45 no...

first of all welcome to BN Scott... from your hotel it should take you less than 15 minutes... head west to wantagh parkway and take that south to Jones beach theater parking lot... not the beach itself.. i never paid for parking in that lot but from time to time we had to show our tickets.. hope th...

i just got on the bike and rode down ocean parkway and back to see how the traffic was an a beautiful hot saturday afternoon... clear sailing both ways and the JBT lot was empty.. i know it's not labor day weekend yet, but i got a great feeling about next week..
