The Kindred Spirits (1968). I did not realize how much of a following Deb McColl had even before the JB thing. She has quite a fascinating story. Heck, the entire band has incredible stories. Running smack dab into Neil Young, opening for a young Jerry Jeff Walker, etc, etc. These shows being in Geo...

Gene Mitchell is the Cream of the Crop.

I mean that.

YEEP.

I don't hear much of a Mighty Sparrow influence either. Which other Mighty Sparrow is there?

I only know of one. Born in 1935 and the Calypso King of the World.

Or are you talking about the Mighty Bomber? Of which there are two.

Re: Mint Julep

His name was Johnny Youngblood. I wonder if he knows he inspired JB to pick up the guitar? Who's ever heard of someone getting into music to get women???? Um, like, I'm thinking you were just being sarcastic, but in case you weren't, ranking #1 would be: EVERY SINGLE 80's HAIRBAND! Probably 85 perc...

As far as women influences, including the aforementioned Madonna, perhaps Barbara Mandrell and Dolly Parton? Aside from Jimmy's influences, what about whom Jimmy influenced??? I think he influenced Sheryl Crow. She used to be a back-up singer for Jimmy (and Michael Jackson, too, in case you were wo...
