Re: Jimmy Buffett quote on his Margaritaville Cafes

I"m certainly no market analyst (having squeaked by in Economics 101) but it seems the M'Ville Cafes are all(?) in vacation destinations, even if it's a one-day vacation to a casino (e.g. Mohegan Sun). When I've been to various M'Ville Cafes it seems that the clientele is mostly visitors/touri...

I remember interviewing Ralph MacDonald about writing that song. It was originally one of Ralph's Antisia Music songs. I would love it if Ralph would record an instrumental of it.

I remember years passed when they were talking of opening them in Boston, Mass and Miami, Florida. The Miami one makes sense.

Re: Jimmy Buffett quote on his Margaritaville Cafes

I like your use of the word "yet." I must say, Margaritaville Holdings should open a Margaritaville Cafe in Atlanta, Georgia. 1. The very FIRST Parrot Head Club--Atlanta 20 years ago. 2. PHIP's first president--Atlanta. 3. The Official and Original Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show--Atlanta (the ...

Jimmy Buffett quote on his Margaritaville Cafes

I hope you all enjoy this educational and entertaining quote directly from Mr. Buffett. "I don't want them every mile in America. I don't need the money, so I don't want a cash cow out there." -Jimmy Buffett to Vernon Silver of the New York Times . With that said, I've always loved the con...

Re: What Jimmy Buffett said at the Crossroads Taping

I was there. In my opinion, Jimmy B. really WAS passing the torch onto the Zac Brown Band. Furthermore, they are perfect for it. They are what he was when he had long hair and a walrus moustache. Maybe their music is not EXACTLY like his, but it is damn well influenced by Jimmy Buffett. We're doing ...

Walking to New Orleans on Amish Beach Party radio show

Paul Leslie, the host of TAIT Radio, which began on Jimmy Buffett's Radio Margaritaville 6 years ago will be a guest on the Amish Beach Party with DJ Jeff Allen. He will be discussing his 300+ mile walk from the Margaritaville Cafe in Panama City Beach, Florida to New Orleans, Louisiana to raise mon...

Re: Getting a DEMO to Jimmy or Mailboat Records?

Mailboat Records does not look for new talent. They only look for acts that are major venue draws touring the country. (Poison, Bret Michaels, Joe Perry, Boz Scaggs, Chris Isaak, Walter Becker.) Secondly, I don't think they would be interested in promoting someone else who does island music. Just th...

Re: Margaritaville Nashville?

Incredibly ironic.

I wonder if he'll open one in Atlanta, Georgia. Home of the very first Parrot Head Club, Scott Nickerson founder of PHIP, home of his official and original tribute band and MOST importantly the home of GREENBERG TRAURIG--his lawyers!

Re: What Jimmy Buffett said at the Crossroads Taping

I was wearing a blue sport coat with a tan/off color dress shirt. Blue jeans and leather boots. That was me. Unforgettable, and it was perfect because it was right after my extended radio series about the Zac Brown Band and his record label Southern Ground. We are doing a Zac Brown special featuring...

An amazing HISTORIC concert, and then afterwards I went to the after-party which was amazing....it's not 6:00 AM....still have not been to bed. Only Jim Mayer from the CRB showed, but the entire ZBB including Zac was there.

Another magic night!

What Jimmy Buffett said at the Crossroads Taping

First Jimmy Buffett acknowledged the fact that Harry Belafonte (which I thought was awesome) and many others were his predecessor in the "island" music world. Then, while holding up an imaginary torch, he said he was "passing the torch on" to Zac Brown. I was sitting behind Zac's...

His name is Charleston Miles.

He sang on stage at a Jimmy Buffett surprise appearance at the Margaritaville Cafe New Orleans.

He did "My Girl."
