I think that says something good about him, but no one wants to talk about that they just bash, bash, bash. He could cure cancer and the left would complain that now he's put all those healthcare workers out of work. It's crazy. This is a big reason why conflict happens. Empty comments about "...

think it's interesting that W has had to fight as hard as he has, with a majority That has only been relatively small since W's popularity went down. Even Still the vast majority of Congressional Republicans give W a blank check. It's truly one party and these days, one branch... Congress need not ...

It was great fun to watch FOX implode with their scam last weekend.

Their BS got debunked on their own show.

Clinton did a great job. It was great to see a President who could complete a sentence being interviewed. One who knew policy.

I miss grown ups in charge.

Yeah let's stick it to 'em. And support the other oil companies... it just so happens most of it comes from terra-ist supporting nations, but who cares, we don't really understand the world around us, let's stick with fast food news! Exxon, is my corporate moral compass. I defaulted to them a...

Have there been any terrorist attacks on US soil since 9/11? No. That means that this administration is doing something right about them. This wire tapping is one tool in that toolbox. Actually, we don't know if that has helped. However, the issue here - for most people - is not the wiretapping its...

history is written by the winners Ironically, that's one of the point's made in the book. In any case, it's fiction, it's fun. I actually think that the history (even fake) has brought about an interest in the real thing - so much so that there several DVDs and documentaries that are now discussing...

of course there will be usual bashing of film critics. Oh it's just not "artsy fartsy" with certain this or that. Or they don't get it that it's a kid's movie. They do get it. Most film critics review movies within the context of what it's supposed to be and unfortunately this one isn't ve...

Ironically the White House that show no uproar over the Valerie Plame leak, created quite a vocal chorus of uproar over this. I guess when it benefits the White House to leak national security info, they are quiet, but when the leak demonstrates unlawful activity of the White House, then leaks are b...

From what I remember seeing in the paper and hearing on the news, a small group of congressmen was briefed about the program and knew what was being done. It's interesting how none of them thought it was a problem until the existence of the program was leaked to the press. Draw your own conclusions...

And Ticketmaster would be praised for offering a ticket to a show at a great price. Desire drives the market, we're a victim of our own popular Caribbean tendencys. I wouldn't praise Ticketbastard if they had tickets a week before the show. That's not the issue with them. The issue is that they are...

so in your opinion, that made it ok I am not referring to the action, but the legality, I don't understand how the fact that this is a serious Constitutional issue is getting lost here (well I do know). I'm not trying to politicize this issue - as evidenced by my post, but there are individuals (co...

This may or may not come as a shock to those who think the wire taps are a big deal but President Bush is by no means the first to authorize such measures. President Clinton authorized not only wire taps but an actual (secret) warrantless search of the private residence of an American citizen who w...

Just an FYI if anyone missed the first episode you can get it on ON DEMAND if you have HBO.
If you have Comcast.

Anyway excellent opener. it was like Chase was showing off in his writing and saying this is what a good tv show is... Desperate what.....?

I love the randomness of this show.

I bet you could go on and on. I've heard a million excuses and I've heard a million reasons why their exception is the norm. I actually laughed aloud when I read the accusation that SUV drivers are somehow responsible for national security. I didn't say that they were. Maybe, though, at some point, ...

Many people can't control their vehicles. This matter is made worse when the vehicle is large. Of course, the drivers of these trucks "sit up high," in a large vehicle that makes them feel good, never mind any thought of national security, just slap that "Support the Troops" robb...

For the record, please stop "blaming" Wino you know for the original locking... it was a mod decision, after all mods had it on "high alert" for days.
Excuse me, but I never blamed anyone. I simply acknowledged a novel pasted into that thread. That's all.
